Senior Commercial Loan Specialist (Hybrid)

As a Senior Commercial Loan Specialist, you will provide support to commercial lending staff in commercial branches or banking centers. Process more complex loan closings, attain loan perfection, and service loan customers. Support the production of large, complex loans, including those requiring additional monitoring and control. 
 
 

In this role you'll have the opportunity to:

  • Prepare all loan request documents. Gather customer income and net worth information. Answer customer questions.
  • Responsible for ordering external agency reports such as titles, insurance, etc.
  • Prepare commitment letters. Arrange for payoff of property liens.
  • Coordinate loan closings and prepare disbursement checks. Close loans by explaining documents to customers.
  • Responsible for verifying loan system accuracy for boarded loans. Begin preparation for credit analysis.
  • Responsible for ensuring each loan file meets bank and regulatory requirements. Monitor commercial lines for compliance.
  • Responsible for making advances and payments on commercial lines. Balance commercial loan suspense accounts monthly. Monitor agricultural lines activity and prepare variance reports.
  • Responsible for complying with policies, procedures, security requirements, and government regulations.

    Education & Certifications

  • H.S. Diploma: required (an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered) 
  • Experience

  • 4 or more years of commercial loan support experience required

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrate ability to independently produce accurate work in a deadline driven environment. 
  • Possess strong analytical skills with the ability to identify document errors or variances and make corrections. 
  • Ability to deliver professional, responsive customer service. 
  • Advanced knowledge of accounting principles with the ability to analyze basic financial statements and cash flows preferred. 
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and commercial loan systems. 
  • Advanced knowledge of state and regulatory requirements pertaining to commercial loans.

    Compensation & Benefits

  • Targeted starting compensation range is based on location and experience: $26.56 - $31.25
  • Incentive and commission compensation may be awarded for eligible roles
  • Comprehensive employee benefits, including medical, dental, vision, LTD, STD and life
  • Paid vacation time, sick time, personal days, paid volunteer time and 11 company paid holidays
  • 401k (up to 4% match with immediate vesting)
