This position works out of our UAE location in the Abbott Rapid Diagnostics – Infectious Diseases.

The EMEA Business Development Manager Third Party Business shall orchestrate the according portfolio strategies and execution for Abbott´s ID Rapid Diagnostics business unit across the EMEA region. As a core member of the EMEA Marketing Team, the candidate will interact closely with the regional marketing teams and act as a Business Liaison with third party manufacturers. Further the candidate will closely collaborate with the regional commercial teams to maximize the Third Party portfolios commercial success.
The Third Party Business Development Manager reports directly into EMEA Franchise Lead Infectious Disease
What you'll do-
Develop and adapt portfolio strategies and -positioning, build brand plans and assure the successful roll-out and local strategy alignment
Manages the third-party manufacturers’ portfolios throughout the lifecycle
Act as business liaison partner for Third Party Manufacturers, including business planning, third pipeline development, and expansion of geography and portfolio
Convey and represent portfolio strategies and tactics, optimize portfolio mix for EMEA region, and closely collaborate with Regional Marketing Managers to transform portfolio strategy to commercial success
Actively improve portfolio reasons to believe and integrate these into positioning and tools (Customer facing, Internal).
Work in cross functional collaboration with the commercial, commercial excellence, medical, market access, customer service, finance, and logistics teams to achieve project goals
Work with internal and external agencies to transform Portfolio value propositions into customer focused messaging and tools. Develop, adapt and tailor marketing communication assets and narrative as foundation for sales and marketing campaigns.
Build geo- and product expansion strategies and execution plans for third party manufacturer business
Partner with regional training teams, co-develop training content, facilitate and track training success and skill levels
Continuously monitor the market and competition, conduct market analyses and transform into strategies and tactics to improve the portfolio positioning and grow the business.
Track business metrics and actively propose actions to maximize the impact of the portfolio.
lead pricing negotiations with Third Party Manufacturers

Product features/benefits, product utilization and customer insights
Develop competitor insights and improve portfolio value

Collaboration with regional teams in the management of relationships with clinical experts and opinion leaders

Required Qualifications-
Required background & expertise
BA/BS in Marketing, Business, and/or Biological Science or related field required, higher degree strongly preferred
At least 5+ years industry experience with ideally 3+ years of experience in in vitro diagnostics marketing and business development functions, ideally familiar with Point-of-Care testing.
Familiarity with Infectious Diseases as well as Anti-Microbial Resistance (AMR), diagnostic landscape, Molecular- and Lateral Flow test technology knowledge strongly preferred.
Familiarity with Women’s Health Diagnostic Industry is a plus
Proven successful track record in Marketing and Business Development roles
Proven ability of delivering goals in a fast-paced, matrixed organization
Proficiency in English, additional languages (German & French) are considered a plus.

Cultural awareness and cross-country sensitivity
