Business Development Director, APAC

Appnovation is looking for a  Business Development Director, APAC to work alongside the best and brightest minds in the digital consultancy industry today. You’ll be leading the business development function, responsible for driving hyper-growth across the APAC region, incorporating all of Appnovation's service offerings while helping position our partner products and services to internal and external stakeholders alike.

If you are a high-performing, senior growth driver with an extensive IT Consulting background, a proven track record of achieving aggressive new business targets, and experience driving large-scale technical implementations (including AI, Data, and Cloud), we would love to speak with you.

YOU WILL HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO:

Intake, Ideation, and Planning
  • Drive Large-Scale Technical Innovation: Deeply understand the client's business, goals, and technical landscape to articulate clear strategic objectives, focusing heavily on complex, large-scale technical implementations—particularly AI, Data ecosystems, and Cloud infrastructure.
  • Strategic Deal Architecture: Design, implement, and drive an effective, efficient sales cycle that adheres to Appnovation’s standards, ensuring a compelling value proposition from initial brief to final closure.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Assemble and brief technical architectures and creative teams to facilitate ideation, steering solutions that are innovative, high-impact, and scalable.
  • Risk & Quality Management: Set project quality and performance standards. Assess and manage risk within and across complex technical projects and enterprise sales cycles.
  • Enterprise Stakeholder Navigation: Expertly navigate conversations with C-level stakeholders and procurement teams, mastering negotiation leverage to secure high-value partnerships.
Revenue Growth and Client Acquisition
  • Net-New Revenue Generation: Own and aggressively drive monthly, quarterly, and annual new business revenue and margin targets aligned with Appnovation's high-growth business goals.
  • Strategic Account Planning: Ensure account plans feature comprehensive, multi-layered strategies designed for long-term retention and expansion.
  • Commercial Discipline: Deploy solid negotiation tactics, ensuring profitable pricing models and safeguarding margins throughout the sales cycle.
  • Relationship & Alliance Building: Build and manage senior client and partner relationships. Plan and execute sales and technical enablement initiatives, partner marketing, and alliance strategies.
  • Global Collaboration: Represent Appnovation at key industry networking events, seminars, and conferences, working effectively with cross-functional teams spanning APAC, EMEA, and AMER.
WHO YOU ARE:
  • Senior Growth Leader: 10+ years of proven success managing and selling complex digital services, enterprise design, and technical development services.
  • IT Consulting Elite: Solid, undeniable background working within IT Consultancies, Systems Integrators (SIs), or specialized digital tech agencies.
  • Proven New Business Hunter: A documented, highly successful track record of achieving and exceeding net-new business targets (delivering US $2M–$3M+ in net-new business annually across the APAC region).
  • Large-Scale Tech Domain Expertise: Extensive experience selling and overseeing large-scale technical implementations, with deep modern domain knowledge in AI, Data, and Cloud implementation.
  • Enterprise Portfolio Management: Previous accountability for managing a total client revenue portfolio or budget of $20M+.
  • APAC Network: A powerful, active, and existing network of enterprise clients and decision-makers across the APAC region.
  • Agile & Entrepreneurial: Experience working in fast-paced SME or start-up environments, with a demonstrated ability to be creative, resourceful, and proactive in generating your own leads and pipeline.
  • Master Communicator: Exceptional communication - Chinese & English, negotiation, and presentation skills. A natural relationship-builder who maintains high credibility, integrity, and can command a room of senior executives.
