Summary:
As a Data Governance Practitioner, a typical day involves establishing and enforcing data governance policies that uphold the accuracy, integrity, and security of organizational data. The role requires close collaboration with various stakeholders to define and maintain data standards, ensuring that data collection, storage, access, and usage processes are efficient and compliant. Additionally, the practitioner actively drives data stewardship initiatives, fostering a culture of responsibility and accountability around data management across the organization. This position demands continuous engagement with teams to promote comprehensive and effective governance practices that support organizational goals.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
- Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
- Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of data governance policies with business objectives.
- Monitor compliance with data governance standards and recommend improvements where necessary.
- Support the development and delivery of training programs to enhance data governance awareness.
- Assist in the documentation and communication of data governance processes and policies.
- Provide guidance and support to junior team members to foster their professional growth.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence.
- Strong knowledge of data governance frameworks and best practices.
- Experience in managing data quality, data security, and data privacy initiatives.
- Ability to analyze complex data environments and recommend governance solutions.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with stakeholders at various levels.
- Familiarity with data stewardship and metadata management concepts.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence.
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
