Python is the core skill we expect. Depending on your strengths, you may focus on pipelines, platforms, SQL, or designing scalable data solutions. Many roles also include "full-solver" flexibility — contributing where needed, including automation, integration work, or enabling AI/GenAI use cases on modern platforms (including Microsoft technologies where relevant).
Build the Backbone of AI Solutions: Design and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes using Python and PySpark — ingesting and transforming data from sensor streams, satellite imagery, and unstructured documents into analytics and ML platforms.
Design Data That Scales: Build data models (star/snowflake), warehouses, and lakes that support everything from GenAI dashboards to anomaly detection and real-time industrial optimization.
Enable Machine Learning: Partner with data scientists to deliver clean, production-ready datasets for NLP, computer vision, and predictive analytics use cases.
Make It Fast, Keep It Reliable: Optimize jobs and SQL queries for performance and cost; monitor pipelines in production and ensure reliability and SLA adherence.
Work Directly With Clients: Collaborate with clients in Western Europe and the USA across industries (pharma, energy, agriculture, finance) to translate business needs into technical designs.
Guard Data Quality & Security: Implement validation frameworks, governance standards, and ensure compliance with privacy and security requirements.
Stay current & mentor: Keep up with data engineering and cloud trends; support junior team members through code reviews and hands-on guidance.
Python (required): Strong skills with pandas, PySpark, SQLAlchemy, Airflow-like tools. Clean, testable code is a must.
Data Pipelines: Hands-on experience with Spark (PySpark) or similar distributed frameworks, plus ETL/ELT workflow design.
ML Awareness: Understanding of preprocessing needs for ML — missing values, encoding, normalization, feature extraction.
Database: Proficiency in SQL (schema design, complex queries, optimization). NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra, Cosmos DB) a plus.
Cloud & Big Data (Nice to Have): Azure (Synapse, Databricks, Data Factory, Data Lake) or AWS/GCP equivalents.
Professional Background: At least 2 years of professional experience in data engineering, BI engineering, or similar data-focused roles.
Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical mindset with the ability to understand complex data landscapes, debug data issues, and design logical, efficient data flows.
Language Skills: English at B2 level or higher.
Natural Language Data Exploration: Develop dashboards powered by GenAI for intuitive business data analysis.
Document Interaction: Design tools enabling seamless interaction with unstructured and structured text documents.
Knowledge Assistant: Implement ERP transformation with GenAI tools to resolve employee inquiries efficiently.
Agricultural Monitoring: Utilize Computer Vision for analyzing satellite imagery on a large scale.
Automated Reconciliation: Create systems to identify anomalous transactions in accounting ledgers.

Salary: starting from 2000 - 3400 EUR/month (For candidates with demonstrated experience the salary is negotiable based on experience and proven seniority.)
