Analytics Engineer II

The ideal candidate will be a problem-solver with a strong background in data engineering and analytics, capable of designing scalable data models, building insightful dashboards, and delivering impactful business solutions in a fast-paced environment.
About the Role
As an Analytics Engineer II, you will play a key role on our Finance & Data Team, driving operational analytics and reporting solutions to empower decision-making across the organization. Your expertise will help ensure our data processes are scalable, reliable, and insightful, enabling IVX Health to maintain its leadership in the healthcare space.
What You'll Do
- Dashboard Design: Create and refine enterprise dashboards in Tableau Cloud, delivering high-quality reporting for 150+ users across departments.
- Stakeholder Partnership: Collaborate with internal teams to understand business needs and provide tailored analytical solutions.
- Strategic Insights: Solve complex problems and deliver actionable insights to cross-functional leaders.
- Data Modeling: Develop scalable data models that promote a unified “source of truth” for analytics and reporting.
- SQL Development: Write and optimize SQL queries, views, and stored procedures in Azure Data Warehouse.
- ETL/ELT Mastery: Build and maintain efficient data pipelines using ETL/ELT best practices.
- Project Management: Juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, delivering high-impact results.
ESSENTIAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases
- Proficiency with Tableau solution development (or similar data visualization tools)
- Skills in managing and maintaining large dataset
- Critical Thinking: Break down complex, ambiguous requirements into actionable components, patterns, and features.
- Attention to Detail and Quality Assurance: Ensure precision in managing and analyzing large datasets while maintaining high standards of accuracy, measured by consistent delivery of error-free reports and adherence to quality checks.
- Communication: Translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences and business insights for technical teams. Effectively communicate with executive leadership.
- Collaboration: Foster a team-first environment, demonstrating respect and thoughtfulness in daily interactions with colleagues.
- Proactive Attitude: Exhibit an upbeat, action-oriented approach to solving problems, thriving in a dynamic organization.
- Data Governance Awareness: Understanding of data privacy, security, and compliance standards, especially important in healthcare.
- Time Management and Prioritization: Efficiently handle multiple projects, meeting deadlines with quality results.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, data engineering, or a related field; or comparable technical certification/training
- 3-5 years of experience in data engineering, specifically with the design, development, implementation, management, and support of data structures and the data flow lifecycle (including data maintenance, ETL and data governance considerations)
- Experience with healthcare analytics and concepts is preferred
- Tableau experience is strongly preferred
- Cloud data warehousing/administration is a plus
