Data Quality Product Owner

• Own and manage the data quality and data governance product roadmap, prioritizing initiatives and maintaining a clear, value-driven backlog aligned with business goals.
• Define and implement enterprise data quality frameworks, including data standards, business rules, monitoring systems, remediation workflows, and stewardship processes.
• Establish and track key data quality metrics and KPIs to ensure improvements in accuracy, completeness, consistency, and reliability across enterprise datasets.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, architects, analysts, and data stewards to gather requirements and translate them into actionable user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Lead Agile delivery processes, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and release coordination using Jira, while maintaining documentation in Confluence.
• Partner with technical teams to design and optimize automated data quality rules, validation processes, and monitoring capabilities across enterprise platforms.
• Promote and enforce data governance best practices, including metadata management, data lineage, stewardship, and compliance with internal standards.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and drive improvements that enhance operational efficiency and reduce data-related risks.
• Serve as the primary owner accountable for product outcomes, ensuring timely delivery of scalable and high-quality data solutions.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in Data Management, Data Governance, Data Quality, or Product Ownership roles.
• Proven experience as a Product Owner leading enterprise-level data quality or data governance initiatives.
• Strong understanding of data governance frameworks, data quality principles, metadata management, and data stewardship practices.
• Hands-on experience with tools and platforms such as Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS), Monte Carlo, Microsoft Azure, Databricks, and SQL.
• Strong experience working in Agile/Scrum environments using tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex, cross-functional data initiatives.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence both technical and business audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, take ownership, and drive initiatives from concept to completion.
• Familiarity with data lineage, master data management (MDM), and compliance-driven data governance is a strong advantage.
• Product certifications such as CSPO or SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager are considered a plus.
