Senior Data Modeler
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Data Modeler based in the United States.
This role plays a critical part in shaping how data is structured, connected, and leveraged across the organization to enable advanced analytics and data-driven decision-making. You will work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to translate complex business needs into scalable data models, architectures, and pipelines that power analytics, reporting, and machine learning use cases. Operating in a collaborative, cross-functional environment, you will partner with engineers, analysts, and data scientists to ensure data is accurate, accessible, and optimized for both batch and real-time use. The role requires a strong balance of technical depth and business understanding, with direct impact on how data is consumed across the enterprise. You will contribute to defining data standards, improving data quality, and promoting best practices in data architecture. This is a highly influential position for someone who enjoys building robust data foundations that drive strategic outcomes.
Accountabilities:
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand data needs and translate them into actionable modeling and architecture solutions
- Design and develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models aligned with business and technical requirements
- Build and optimize data structures, pipelines, and integration frameworks supporting both batch and real-time processing
- Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, UX teams, and agile delivery teams to deliver end-to-end data solutions
- Support data scientists by enabling efficient feature engineering, model training, and production data serving
- Evaluate data sources and data collection methods to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability
- Participate in architecture reviews, governance discussions, and technology evaluations to improve data ecosystem capabilities
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Economics, or related field, or equivalent experience
- 6+ years of experience in data-focused roles involving analytics, data modeling, and data engineering concepts
- Strong hands-on experience with SQL, database systems, ETL processes, and data pipeline design
- Proven experience designing conceptual, logical, and physical data models
- Strong understanding of data integration, data quality, and analytics enablement
- Experience supporting data science or machine learning workflows is highly valued
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving ability
