Job Title: Senior Analyst-Graphic Designer

As a Senior Analyst - Graphic Designer, you will be part of a Medical Information & Communication team that supports the delivery of life-changing medicines by enabling clear and effective communication across global collaborators.
Working in a hybrid environment (three days in the office), you will collaborate with diverse cross-functional teams in a fast-paced and evolving landscape. This role offers the opportunity to apply your creativity, problem-solving skills, and visual communication expertise while chipping in to innovative solutions that enhance collaborator engagement and support informed decision-making.
Accountabilities:
- Visual Communication Delivery: Collaborate with Medical Affairs partners to translate scientific content into clear visual communications for internal and external audiences, enabling faster comprehension and more confident decisions.
- Design and Production: Develop and refine graphics, medical/scientific illustrations, infographics, and interactive PDFs for publications and medical communications; bring rigor to composition, typography, and color to elevate visibility and compliance.
- End-to-End Creative Leadership: Be responsible for the full creative development of assets including slide decks, infographics, data visualizations, medical illustrations, logos, and digital components; set standards that improve consistency and scalability.
- Presentation and Posters: Build presentation slide decks and presentations; develop structured poster layouts for conferences and gatherings that complex data with precision.
- Data Visualization Accuracy: Develop graphical displays for publications, including complex visuals such as forest plots; ensure fidelity to source data and alignment with scientific conventions.
- Brand and Quality Governance: Apply and implement brand guidelines and documentation standards; deliver high-quality outputs within agreed timelines and review cycles, reducing rework and accelerating approvals.
- Project Ownership: Independently handle assigned projects; communicate progress and risks early; provide proactive creative input to collaborators and the creative lead to unlock better outcomes.
- Process and Compliance: Adhere to project management tools, utilization standards, defined workflows, and technical requirements across graphics, print, digital, and illustration; ensure audit-ready work.
- Continuous Improvement: Analyze design challenges and constraints; propose optimizations that improve effectiveness and efficiency across templates, tools, and processes.
- Teamwork and Learning: Partner with interdisciplinary groups; show flexibility and continuous learning to address changing program needs and developing technologies.
Essential Skills/Experience:
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in design, visual communication, or media development, or equivalent practical experience.
- 4–8 years of professional graphic design experience; experience with medical/scientific content and/or healthcare/pharmaceutical domain preferred.
- Portfolio demonstrating relevant work, including anatomical and scientific visualizations, diagrams, data-driven charts and graphs for publications, PowerPoint templates and decks, and infographics.
- Sophisticated proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere Pro); validated understanding of XD or Figma.
- Sophisticated PowerPoint skills, including charts, graphs, animations, and complex data visuals (e.g., forest plots); proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Good understanding of digital asset creation, versioning, and management; ability to work across platforms and formats.
- Strong interpersonal skills (written and verbal communication); ability to handle collaborator expectations and provide clear rationale for build decisions.
- Meticulous attention to detail; consistent delivery in organized, feedback-focused environments.
- Shown ownership and accountability for quality, timelines, and outcomes; ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Effective collaboration with cross-functional teams; able to work independently, including from a home studio if required.
- Adaptability to support evolving scope and learn new tools and techniques as needed.
Desirable Skills/Experience:
- Direct experience creating scientific research posters for congresses and professional meetings.
- Experience translating clinical content and scientific narratives into compliant, brand-aligned visual communications.
- Advanced skills in data visualization for publications, encompassing forest plots and other sophisticated statistical graphics.
- Experience producing interactive PDFs and motion graphics for medical communications.
- Familiarity with digital asset management systems and structured documentation standards within regulated environments.
- Exposure to medical review processes, compliance requirements, and multi-stage approval workflows.
- Experience optimizing templates, design systems, and libraries to improve speed and consistency across teams.
