We make health happen

You’ll lead how we design and discover better digital health experiences at Bupa - working with product and engineering to define the problems worth solving, test ideas early, and deliver solutions that make a real difference to customers’ lives.

How you’ll help us make health happen

  • Design end-to-end experiences that feel intuitive and deliver real value.

  • Lead discovery and strategy—frame problems, validate ideas, and guide teams to solutions.

  • Embed research into every decision and champion evidence-based design.

  • Facilitate collaboration through workshops and design sprints.

  • Shape product direction with product and engineering partners.

  • Balance user and business needs to create desirable, feasible, and viable solutions.

  • Drive design quality, accessibility, and consistency through systems and standards.

  • Foster a culture of experimentation and continuous learning.

  • Coach and grow designers, setting a high bar for craft and thinking.

What you bring

  • Demonstrable, substantial experience in product design in a leadership or mentorship role.

  • A portfolio that demonstrates strategic thinking, interaction design depth, and measurable impact.

  • Depth in product design plus breadth across research, service, content, systems, or strategy.

  • Ability to zoom out on vision and zoom in on details.

  • Experience working with AI tools like Figma Make.

  • Discovery mindset: test early, guide through ambiguity.

  • Interaction-first approach: design how it works, not just how it looks.

  • Skilled in Figma, design systems, and accessibility (WCAG 2.2 AA).

  • Experience in research and usability testing;

  • Strong grasp of discovery, experimentation, and agile ways of working.
