Senior User Researcher

This role sits at the heart of shaping how families and care providers experience a complex, high-stakes marketplace. You will be responsible for uncovering deep insights across both consumer and provider journeys, helping product and design teams make better, faster, and more evidence-driven decisions. The work spans generative and evaluative research, connecting emotional decision-making, behavioral data, and product signals into a coherent understanding of user needs. You will operate across multiple squads, influencing product strategy, experience design, and service improvements at scale. The environment is highly collaborative and mission-driven, with a strong emphasis on improving outcomes for families navigating sensitive care decisions. This role also embraces modern research practices, including responsible use of AI tools to accelerate synthesis and insight generation while maintaining rigor and human judgment. You will play a key role in ensuring research directly shapes product direction and business impact.
Accountabilities:
- Lead end-to-end user research across Consumer and Provider experiences, covering families making care decisions and providers managing services and growth
- Design and execute qualitative and mixed-method studies including interviews, usability testing, surveys, journey mapping, diary studies, and concept validation
- Develop and maintain a research roadmap aligned with product strategy, business priorities, and cross-functional decision-making needs
- Synthesize research findings into clear, actionable insights that directly influence product direction, UX design, and service improvements
- Partner with Product, Design, Engineering, Analytics, Marketing, Sales, and Operations teams to integrate qualitative insights with quantitative data
- Identify user pain points, unmet needs, trust gaps, and systemic experience issues across the end-to-end care journey
- Improve research operations, including templates, participant workflows, insight repositories, and reusable frameworks
- Contribute to defining how AI-enabled research tools are used responsibly to enhance speed, synthesis, and decision support
- 5+ years of experience in User Research, UX Research, Product Research, or mixed-methods research roles
- Strong expertise in qualitative research methods, including interviews, usability testing, synthesis, and storytelling of insights
- Proven ability to influence product strategy and design decisions through research outcomes
- Experience operating in ambiguous environments and prioritizing research based on business and product impact
- Ability to combine qualitative insights with behavioral analytics, experimentation, or product data
- Strong communication and facilitation skills with cross-functional stakeholders at all levels
- Demonstrated experience or curiosity in using AI tools to enhance research workflows, synthesis, or insight generation
- Experience in marketplace, healthcare, consumer decision journeys, or high-trust service environments is a strong plus
- Strong portfolio demonstrating research thinking, methodology, and impact on product decisions
- Competitive base salary ranging from 135,000 USD to 160,000 USD annually
