Staff Product Designer, Core Treatments
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Staff Product Designer, Core Treatments based in United States.
This is a high-impact, Staff-level product design role focused on some of the most sensitive and trust-critical areas of modern digital healthcare. You will shape end-to-end experiences across core treatment categories such as sexual health, hormone therapy, hair loss, and lab-based care, where clarity, empathy, and confidence directly influence whether people seek and continue care. The role spans discovery through ongoing treatment journeys, including intake flows, decision points, and long-term engagement. You will operate at a strategic level, defining problems as much as solving them, and setting the design standard for deeply personal healthcare experiences. This environment requires strong cross-functional collaboration with product, engineering, clinical, and research teams. It is a hands-on leadership role for someone who blends systems thinking, craft excellence, and strong product intuition.
Accountabilities:
- Own the full lifecycle design of core treatment experiences, from patient intake through ongoing care, ensuring each journey is clear, reassuring, and behaviorally effective.
- Lead large, ambiguous, and high-impact product initiatives independently, defining problem spaces, shaping direction, and aligning cross-functional teams around a shared vision.
- Translate complex clinical and medical workflows into intuitive, human-centered experiences that build trust and reduce friction in sensitive health contexts.
- Actively incorporate AI into the design workflow, leveraging it for ideation, rapid prototyping, research synthesis, and exploration of interaction patterns.
- Raise the bar for product quality by defining what excellent looks like across key treatment journeys and pushing teams toward higher craft and usability standards.
- Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Clinical, and Research teams to navigate trade-offs and ensure solutions are feasible, safe, and user-centered.
- Contribute to and evolve shared design systems and interaction patterns that improve consistency and scalability across the platform.
- Mentor and influence the broader design organization, helping shape culture, critique standards, and overall product thinking.
- 8+ years of product design experience building consumer-facing digital products, with ownership of complex, end-to-end user journeys.
- Strong systems thinking combined with exceptional visual and interaction design craft, with the ability to move fluidly between strategy and detailed execution.
- Deep UX expertise in high-trust or sensitive domains such as healthcare, finance, identity, or other emotionally charged user contexts.
- Proven ability to design for users experiencing uncertainty, stress, or stigma, with a strong emphasis on clarity, empathy, and reassurance.
- Practical AI fluency, with hands-on use of AI tools in daily workflows for prototyping, ideation, or research synthesis, along with informed opinions on their strengths and limitations.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to clearly articulate and defend complex design decisions to cross-functional stakeholders.
- Advanced proficiency in Figma and modern design workflows, with a focus on speed, structure, and scalability.
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity, with a strong bias toward action and iterative learning rather than waiting for fully defined requirements.
- Preferred: experience in telehealth, healthcare, pharma, or other regulated industries involving stigma or sensitive user needs; experience in early-stage product development; exposure to AI-powered product features beyond tooling.
- Competitive salary and equity compensation for full-time roles
- Unlimited PTO, company holidays, and quarterly mental health days
- Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and parental leave benefits
- Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP)
- 401(k) with employer matching contributions
- Regular offsite team retreats and collaborative in-person gatherings
- Strong focus on wellness, ethics, and belonging within a diverse and inclusive work environment
- Commitment to reasonable accommodations for candidates with disabilities and accessible hiring practices.
