Your Impact:

As a Product Design Intern at Deliverect, you'll work directly alongside one of our Senior Product Designers, embedded in the team building the Direct Suite, a collection of customer-facing products that help restaurants connect with their guests directly, including a self-service kiosk, customisable ordering website, mobile app, and catering solution.

You'll have a dedicated mentor who will work with you to build a personalised learning and career plan from day one, and you'll have the opportunity to own a real project end-to-end, from discovery through to handover, something you can be proud to put in your portfolio.

A portfolio is not required, but submitting one, whether it's a university project, a personal project, or coursework, will strengthen your application by showcasing your skills.

What you will do & learn:

  • Gain practical experience in UI/UX design by contributing to real design tasks within the Direct Suite product area

  • Develop proficiency in product design and research tools like Figma, Jira, Maze, Intercom, Claude and others

  • Learn to use AI tools to support design and research workflows, including AI-assisted prototyping and concept validation

  • Use AI tools to support desk research, competitive analysis, and best practice reviews, helping to quickly surface relevant insights and industry benchmarks

  • Explore user research practices, from planning and facilitation through to synthesis and communication of findings

  • Liaise closely with product managers to help shape the right questions before jumping to solutions

  • Support and participate in ideation sessions with the product team

  • Contribute to the design system

  • Participate in agile rituals including standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives

  • Collaborate with designers, developers, and product managers across teams

  • Practice presenting ideas clearly and confidently to different audiences

  • What you will bring:

  • You're currently studying or recently graduated in UX/UI Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Experience Design, or a related field

  • You're familiar with design and prototyping tools like Figma, Sketch, or similar

  • You have an interest in user research and are curious about understanding people's behaviours, needs, and motivations

  • You're comfortable using AI tools in your workflow, or genuinely curious to explore how AI can support design and research work

  • You're a good listener and communicator, comfortable explaining your thinking and receiving feedback

  • You care about quality and details, and take pride in your work

  • You can work independently but also enjoy being part of a collaborative team

  • You're curious, adaptable, and eager to learn by doing

  • Working proficiency in English is required
