We're looking for a Senior UX/UI Designer to own and elevate the end-to-end design quality of our eCommerce experience. This is a high-impact, highly visible role, you'll be the single owner of our site's visual and interaction language, setting the standard for how the Knix brand comes to life across every digital touchpoint as we scale and a chance to work on a world-class brand to showcase your UX thinking and design skills. If you are a deeply skilled, execution-focused designer who takes pride in shipping beautiful, high-performing interfaces, this role was built for you.

About You:

  • You are a craftsperson first,  you produce design work that is precise, considered, and visually distinctive.

  • You have a commercially focused design aptitude,  and know how to strike a good balance between high conversion and premium brand presentation in a fast moving environment. You understand key engagement and DTC KPIs that drive funnel optimization

  • You have strong opinions about UI quality and can articulate and defend design decisions to stakeholders at all levels.

  • You move fluidly between big-picture thinking and pixel-level execution without losing momentum.

  • You are familiar with and utilize AI tools in order to ideate and optimize your workflow

  • You are proactive about identifying friction in the current experience and come armed with solutions, not just observations.

  • You are deeply familiar with eCommerce UX patterns and know what drives conversion, clarity, and brand trust on the web.

  • You thrive as a strong individual contributor and are energized by owning a design system end-to-end rather than working within one someone else built.

  • You communicate clearly, collaborate constructively, and manage your own workload without needing heavy oversight.

  • Above all, you're energized by Knix's mission and excited by the scale of the opportunity in front of us.

  • The Opportunity

  • Own the UX/UI direction for our Knix, KT, and MNTD from homepage to checkout, ensuring every surface reflects a cohesive, elevated, and on-brand experience.

  • Lead the upcoming redesign and ongoing optimization of key eCommerce templates, including the PDP, PLP, homepage, cart, and checkout flows.

  • Establish and maintain a living design system that scales across web and mobile web, serving as the source of truth for all UI components, tokens, and interaction patterns.

  • Partner closely with eCommerce, Product, and Engineering to translate business requirements into clear, buildable design solutions delivered on time.

  • Drive iterative UI improvements grounded in performance data, heuristic review, and competitive benchmarking,  not just aesthetic preference.

  • Develop motion and interaction design specs for key micro-interactions, transitions, and animated elements where they enhance the customer experience. (A strong plus.)

  • Contribute to and review creative executions, ensuring campaign landing pages, editorial features, and seasonal moments stay on-system.

  • Present design work to cross-functional stakeholders and leadership, providing clear rationale and context for design decisions.

  • Actively champion design quality across the organization — raising the bar, educating partners, and pushing back thoughtfully when standards slip.

  • Own research strategy, not just execution: Translate our product roadmap into a clear, actionable research plan. Identify knowledge gaps, define hypotheses, and lead customer research initiatives (qualitative and quantitative) to inform product direction.

  • Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of UX/UI design experience, with a significant portion focused on direct-to-consumer eCommerce or digital retail.

  • An exceptional portfolio demonstrating sophisticated visual design skill, strong interaction thinking, and measurable eCommerce outcomes.

  • Expert-level proficiency in Figma (or similar), including component libraries, auto-layout, variables, and prototyping.

  • Working knowledge of gen AI/LLM tools as it relates to UX/UI workflows

  • Solid working knowledge of HTML/CSS fundamentals,  enough to communicate with developers fluently and understand implementation constraints.

  • Experience owning or significantly contributing to a design system in a production environment.

  • Familiarity with CRO principles and the ability to design with conversion metrics in mind.

  • Experience with or strong interest in motion and interaction design — familiarity with tools such as Principle, Rive, or After Effects is a plus.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to sell a design vision clearly to non-designers.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and a high standard for visual quality.
