Surveyor (Millmerran)

About the role: 

Reporting to the Senior Surveyor, you will:

·         Provide Survey Support to the project. 

·         Assist the Technical Services Department to meet operational needs.  

·         Conduct daily volume calculations.

·         Complete on-site RPAS drone surveys/scans/photos/incident reporting.

·         Create 3D models of mining sites using design software and digital imaging.

·         Chart surface areas using GPS/ Drones/ Total Stations.

To be successful you will have: 

·         Tertiary qualifications in surveying or equivalent

·         open cut mining and/or civil construction experience preferred but not necessary.

·         RPAS up to 25kgs.

·         Strong Technical and Analytical skills

·         Strong organisational, communication and planning skills. 

·         Demonstrated positive safety leadership skills and safety behaviour. 

·         Experience using survey software including Maptek Vulcan, Point Studio, Deswik or similar preferred

·         Current drivers licence. 

This position requires the preferred candidate to undertake a QLD Coal Mine Workers Health Scheme Assessment, a Pre-Employment Medical, and successfully complete Standard 11 training.
