Job Description:

   

We are seeking a motivated HPE Aruba Premium Support Engineer to provide technical support for HPE Aruba ClearPass, AirWave, and Central On-Prem solutions. This role involves troubleshooting customer-reported issues, assisting with deployments and upgrades, and ensuring timely resolution of support requests. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of AAA (Authentication, Authorization, and Accounting), NAC (Network Access Control), RADIUS, TACACS+, LDAP, network monitoring, and enterprise networking concepts.

Contributions primarily impact customer support operations through effective case management and issue resolution. Works under general supervision while developing technical expertise in Aruba networking and security solutions. Collaborates with peers and senior engineers to resolve customer issues and continuously expand technical knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Provide premium-level technical support for HPE Aruba ClearPass, AirWave, and Central On-Prem customers.
  • Troubleshoot authentication, authorization, and accounting (AAA) issues involving RADIUS, TACACS+, LDAP, and 802.1X.
  • Assist customers with product configuration, deployment, upgrades, and general operational questions.
  • Collect and analyze logs, packet captures, system diagnostics, and other troubleshooting data.
  • Support HPE Aruba AirWave monitoring and reporting functionality.
  • Assist with HPE Aruba Central On-Prem administration, device onboarding, and connectivity troubleshooting.
  • Work closely with customers and internal teams to provide timely updates and issue resolution.
  • Follow established troubleshooting methodologies and documented best practices.
  • Escalate complex technical issues to senior engineers with complete technical documentation.
  • Maintain accurate case records and contribute to internal knowledge base articles.
  • Participate in technical training programs and product certification activities.
  • Assist with customer migrations and software upgrade activities under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Ready to work in Differential work schedule.

Education and Experience Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • Typically 1+ years of experience in technical support, networking, or network security.
  • Advanced English proficiency, both written and verbal.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Basic understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, and wireless networking.
  • Familiarity with RADIUS, TACACS+, LDAP, Active Directory, and authentication technologies.
  • Foundational knowledge of 802.1X, PKI, certificates, and network access control concepts.
  • Ability to perform basic packet capture analysis and log review.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a customer-facing support environment.
  • Willingness to learn Aruba networking and security technologies.

  • Aruba Certified ClearPass Associate (ACCA)
  • Aruba Certified Mobility Associate (ACMA)
  • Aruba Certified Switching Associate (ACSA)
  • Cisco CCNA

Work Schedule: Flexible schedule required, including weekend coverage and shifts between 5:00 AM PST and 6:00 PM PST.
