Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) is looking for you to join our team as a Systems Engineer Level 4 - Engineering Coordinator based out of Linthicum, MD or Fairfax, VA.

What You’ll get to Do:

  • Reports directly to the Chief Engineer
  • Act as delegate for Chief engineer at technical meetings
  • Oversee and guide technical execution of multiple projects throughout all lifecycle phases
  • Establish and collect engineering metrics to monitor health of the program and its missions
  • Support proposals as a technical contributor and reviewer
  • Work closely with systems engineering, development, O&M, and management professionals to ensure that the program lifecycle is accomplished with high quality and efficiency.

This position requires being onsite and does not support remote or hybrid work. 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must have an active U.S. Government Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security clearance at the time of application
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 8 years of relevant experience; 6 years of relevant experience with a Master's degree; 4 years of relevant experience with a PhD
  • Proven ability to work open-ended problems and prosper in rapidly changing environments
  • Senior level proficiency in at least one of the following disciplines: Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, RF Engineering, System Integration, Mission Engineering
  • Experience developing or modifying engineering design artifacts, such as requirements, capability statements, interface definitions, sequence/activity diagrams and/or architectural diagrams
  • Experience with structured decision making, such as developing/performing trade studies, design alternatives, and/or courses of action for risk/issue handling
  • Experience briefing customers and stakeholders on technical topics
  • Strong written and oral communications skills
  • Willingness to sit for a Full Scope Polygraph (FSP) if requested

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Direct experience engineering solutions that span across hardware and software
  • Experience with Model-based Systems Engineering processes and tools
  • Experience with modeling SysML and/or UML
  • Experience writing BoEs / TDs for competitive and/or sole source proposals
  • Experience leading geographically dispersed teams
  • Fully Adjudicated FSP

Primary Level Salary Range: $135,800.00 - $203,600.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
