Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for an Integration and Operations Lead to join the Avionics and Systems Engineering, Integration and Execution (EIE) organization. This position will be  located onsite in Oklahoma City, OK, Melbourne, FL or Rancho Bernardo, CA.

The successful candidate will be required to work closely with the Avionics and Systems Engineering EI&E director, department, and section managers to meet all current and projected staffing, technical operations and project management needs and challenges, function as focal point and driver for business metrics, data calls and financial execution to meet current and future execution needs.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Leads staffing/hiring/redeployment administrative tasks.
  • Strategizes with the EIE leadership team to implement solutions for all staffing challenges.  Organizes and facilitates weekly staffing meetings.  Tracks the start dates of incoming candidates.  Ensures POST/Workday entries maintenance and reconciliation.  Reports status to EIE managers.  Pulls data, prepares charts, affirms status, projects status and devises go forward plan.  Supports University Relations and Recruiting (UR&R) activities with program UR&R POC.
  • Acts as the Resource Manager for the EI&E.  Performs Office locations/relocations data entry & validation tasks for new and relocating employees.  Supports onboarding tasks prescribed in Workday.  Leads Provisioning Tasks (computers, phone, badges, wireless).  Assists with arranging loaner laptops for new employees as necessary.
  • Lead facilitatory of EIE rhythm – includes ensuring material and resource readiness.
  • Performs Security Clearance Submittals and Tracking for new employees.
  • Analyzes Training currency (who, what, when) to ensure that training certifications do not lapse.  Tracks certifications and mandatory training compliance metrics, and sends out e-mails to employees who are overdue.  Coordinates and reserves training facilities for training classes.
  • Maintains management and communication of operational cadences.  Tracks spending on internal, indirect, capital, and investment projects.
  • Leads development and implementation of EI&E processes, including the collection, reporting, and analysis of staffing, performance, quality, and other engineering metrics.
  • Drive common people processes across EIE engineering teams; ensure execution of human resource management functions inclusive of staffing fulfillment, redeployment, and release processes; report status including analysis of program staffing, growth, skills projections, and direct labor rates (DLR).
  • Provide support to technical training and skills development requirements through coordination and collaboration with centers of excellence and EI&E teams across NGAS Engineering; track and manage associated training budgets.
  • Coordinate proposal functional reviews and approval sign offs by all required stakeholders, as applicable.
  • Coordinate, author, and deliver weekly and monthly status reports to EI&E leadership.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must have a Bachelor degree AND 12 years of related professional/military experience that includes a background in functional leadership roles, OR a Master’s degree AND 10 years of related professional/military experience that includes a background in functional leadership roles. 
  • Experience in developing and managing processes across large organizations.
  • Experience in project management principles and practices.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office tools (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance and special program access (PAR).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (PAR) as determined by business needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree or Masters Degree in a STEM discipline.
  • Current DoD Secret Clearence.
  • Experience working in a classified environment and classified computer systems.
  • Experience using Atlassian tools (Jira and Confluence).

Primary Level Salary Range: $131,700.00 - $241,400.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
