Despatch Supervisor-2

Despatch Supervisor is responsible to manage efficient shift operations and maintaining high service standards. Play a crucial role in ensuring and oversee the smooth shift operations, manage the team, coordinates loading of trucks, cage transfers to holding cages and personnel efficiently. Drive and maintain Team Connect and Shop floor development system.

Team Leadership

  • Supervise and manage team and support staff (Clerks, Loaders and Shunters)

  • Provide training, guidance and performance evaluations

Operational Oversight

  • Ensure the efficient and timely dispatch of products

  • Monitor scheduling, route planning as per the order and resource allocation on the loaders

Coordination & Communication

  • Act as a liaison between Factory supervisors, Sales Reps, Distribution Controllers and management

  • Ensure clear communication of ring boards report, truck allocations, changes and emergencies

Compliance

  • Enforce compliance with Tiger brands policies, BMR, FSSC 22000, EHS and EMS

  • Maintain accurate recons and dispatch records

Problem solving, Incident & Conflict Management

  • Respond to emergencies, unexpected delays or disruptions in real-time

  • Troubleshoot issues with routes, equipment's or personnel

Scheduling and Dispatching

  • Assign duties to Clerks and loaders based on the priority and availability

  • Optimize Clerks and loaders to improve efficiency and reduce costs

Staff Supervision

  • Monitor dispatch performance and workloads

  • Hold effective Team Connect and training sessions

Performance monitoring

  • Track the shift performance to monitor real-time operations

  • Analyze shift KPIs 

Internal customer service support

  • Handle escalated issues or complaints regarding delays or any service 

  • Ensure internal customer i.e. distribution crew and slicing department satisfaction through timely communications

Documentation & Reporting  

  • Maintain dispatch activities, supporting documents such as short loads, BTS, Bimbo, manuals, and any additional supporting documents to Dispatch recon

  • Prepare operational reports for Dispatch Controller 

Minimum requirements

  • Advance Diploma/Degree in Supply chain or Logistics

  • Supervisory skills

  • Administration

  • 2-3 years Despatch experience in FMCG
