Systems Engineer
Job Description:
Accenture Federal Services is seeking a Systems Engineer who will be at the forefront of shaping and sustaining the technical backbone of the organization. Your responsibilities will span the entire lifecycle of engineering systems, from initial conception and design through development, rigorous testing, production, deployment, and ongoing operation. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to translate complex requirements into robust, scalable solutions, ensuring that every system meets performance, reliability, and user experience standards. Your role will also involve diagnosing and resolving technical issues, implementing enhancements, and maintaining comprehensive documentation to support seamless system management.
What you’ll do:
- Analyze system requirements and leads design and development activities
- Guide users in formulating requirements, advises alternative approaches, and conducts feasibility studies
- Incorporate new plans, designs and systems into ongoing operations
- Develop system architecture and system design documentation
- Guide system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans
- Interact with the customer regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues or conflicts
- Have ultimate responsibility for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Systems Engineering area of responsibility
- Communicate with other program personnel, overseers, and senior executives
What you’ll need:
- 7 years of relevant experience in engineering systems over their lifecycle (for example, conception, design & development, testing, production, distribution/deployment, operation, maintenance & support, decommissioning)
- Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline
Security Clearance:
- Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph
As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Washington, Vermont, the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
