This role offers the opportunity to shape and scale enterprise-grade Azure infrastructure through modern Infrastructure-as-Code practices. As a technical lead within a cloud engineering environment, you will design and evolve Azure Landing Zone architectures using Bicep, ensuring secure, scalable, and compliant cloud foundations for large-scale deployments. You will work at the intersection of platform engineering, automation, and cloud governance, enabling consistent and reliable Azure environments across global systems. The position is highly hands-on, requiring deep technical expertise while also influencing architectural direction and engineering best practices. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with Microsoft cloud standards and enterprise requirements. Accountabilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain Azure Landing Zone (ALZ) infrastructure modules using Bicep for enterprise-scale cloud deployments.
  • Ensure compatibility with Azure platform updates, Resource Provider API changes, and evolving Microsoft best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across deployments, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure configurations.
  • Enhance and optimize existing modules through bug fixes, performance improvements, and feature enhancements.
  • Validate infrastructure deployments through CI pipelines, ensuring robust testing, quality, and reliability standards.
  • Maintain and improve automated testing frameworks using tools such as Pester and PSRule.
  • Contribute to release management activities, including versioning, documentation, and deployment readiness.
  • Collaborate with architecture, DevOps, and engineering teams to ensure governance, security, and scalability of Azure environments.
  • Requirements

    • Strong hands-on experience with Bicep for Azure Infrastructure-as-Code development.
    • Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure services, architecture, and enterprise cloud design principles.
    • Solid understanding of Azure Resource Manager (ARM), governance models (RBAC, Policies, Management Groups), and cloud security practices.
    • Experience working in GitHub-based workflows, including pull requests, code reviews, and collaborative development.
    • Proven ability to troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines, deployment failures, and infrastructure-related issues.
    • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to independently diagnose and resolve complex technical challenges.
    • Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation is preferred.
    • Familiarity with Azure Landing Zone (ALZ), Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF), and Well-Architected Framework (WAF) is highly desirable.
    • Exposure to testing and validation tools such as Pester and PSRule, along with CI/CD and semantic versioning practices.
    • Experience working in enterprise-scale Azure environments with strong focus on governance and reliability.
