Senior NOC Engineer - Meraki_Focus

This role sits at the core of network operations, ensuring the stability, performance, and reliability of critical connectivity services in a high-availability environment. You will act as a senior technical reference within the NOC, specializing in Cisco Meraki and SD-WAN environments while supporting complex incident resolution and service continuity. The position requires strong operational awareness, real-time problem-solving, and the ability to work effectively under pressure in SLA-driven conditions. You will collaborate with cross-functional engineering and support teams to troubleshoot network issues, coordinate escalations, and maintain seamless service delivery. In addition to hands-on technical work, you will guide junior engineers and contribute to operational best practices and knowledge sharing. Accountabilities

  • Monitor, analyze, and support enterprise network operations with a focus on Cisco Meraki and SD-WAN environments to ensure optimal performance and availability.
  • Act as a senior escalation point for complex incidents, coordinating troubleshooting efforts and ensuring timely resolution within SLA requirements.
  • Utilize network monitoring and ITSM tools such as ServiceNow to track incidents, manage tickets, and document operational activities.
  • Collaborate with internal engineering, support, and service teams to diagnose and resolve connectivity and infrastructure issues.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior NOC engineers, supporting knowledge development and operational consistency.
  • Coordinate incident response activities during high-severity outages, ensuring clear communication with stakeholders and service restoration priorities.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying recurring issues and contributing to process optimization and automation efforts.
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including updates on incident status and resolution progress.
  • Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
    • 3–5 years of experience in NOC operations, network engineering, telecom support, or managed services environments.
    • Strong hands-on experience with Cisco Meraki solutions and SD-WAN technologies.
    • Solid understanding of network monitoring tools and ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow.
    • Ability to manage multiple concurrent incidents in fast-paced, SLA-driven environments.
    • Strong troubleshooting skills across network connectivity, routing, switching, and service assurance domains.
    • Excellent communication skills in both English and Spanish, written and verbal.
    • Strong customer service mindset with the ability to support both technical and non-technical users.
    • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to shift-based schedules, including weekends and holidays when required.
    • Relevant certifications such as Cisco Meraki, CCNA, CCDA, or Juniper certifications are highly desirable.
