The Role
What you will do
Design and own the architecture of the software delivery flow: pipelines, quality gates and the tools that connect them.
Build and maintain the CI/CD platform so it stays reliable and performs well as usage grows.
Automate operational and deployment tasks that currently fall on development or operations teams.
Work with QA to embed automated quality and performance gates into the delivery flow.
Define and publish the KPIs that show how the platform affects developer productivity and operational efficiency.
Act as the senior technical reference: unblock complex problems and set engineering standards.
Mentor mid-level and junior engineers and help them grow.
Work with development, operations and security teams to find friction and remove it.
What success looks like in your first year
Delivery lead time and change failure rate are measured, visible and trending in the right direction.
Teams self-serve common pipeline tasks instead of raising tickets.
Engineers you mentor have grown measurably with your support.
Who You Are
What you will bring
5+ years building and operating CI/CD pipelines, with at least one of the GitHub or GitLab ecosystems (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI) or Jenkins.
Hands-on experience designing software delivery platforms or distributed systems at scale.
Strong working knowledge of containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) and at least one Infrastructure as Code tool (Terraform, Ansible or equivalent).
Experience with at least one major public cloud (AWS, Azure or GCP).
A developer background: you understand the applications, not only the infrastructure under them.
Experience leading technical initiatives and mentoring other engineers.
Clear communication with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Professional working English and Spanish.
Nice to have
Experience in regulated environments with strict security or compliance requirements.
GitOps-based delivery in Kubernetes, for example with Argo CD.
Security tooling in the pipeline (SAST and SCA such as SonarQube or Trivy) and an OWASP-aware mindset.
Observability and monitoring experience (Prometheus, Grafana, Dynatrace, OpenTelemetry).
Internal Developer Platform experience.
Relevant cloud or Kubernetes certifications.
