Do Work That Matters

Leidos Australia delivers IT and airborne solutions that protect and advance the Australian way of life.  Our 2000 local experts, backed by our global experience and network of partners, are working to solve the world’s toughest challenges in government, intelligence, defence, aviation, border protection and health markets.

Your New Role and Responsibilities

Leidos Australia is seeking multiple skilled Network Administrators to join our GEOSPACES program, delivering advanced national security technology solutions in a secure, high-compliance government environment.

These key technical roles are responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and reliable operation of the organisation’s data and voice communication networks, ensuring the stability, integrity, and security of critical network services that support mission-essential operations. Responsibilities in these roles will include;

  • Network Operations: Manage and maintain network infrastructure hardware, including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Incident Response: Provide Level 2 and Level 3 incident response and resolution for network outages and complex connectivity issues, minimizing disruption to business operations.
  • Security Management: Implement and enforce network security policies, manage firewall rules, and conduct regular monitoring to protect the network from unauthorized access and cyber threats.
  • Configuration and Documentation: Configure network devices and maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation of network topology, configurations, and procedures.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies to ensure optimal network health and capacity.

What You’ll Bring to Make An Impact

  • Network Fundamentals: Strong understanding of networking principles (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing protocols like OSPF/BGP).
  • Hardware Experience: Hands-on experience with enterprise-grade networking hardware (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, Fortinet).
  • Firewalls and Security: Experience managing and troubleshooting network security devices and firewall policies.
  • Troubleshooting: Proven ability to use network analysis and monitoring tools (e.g., Wireshark, SolarWinds) to diagnose and resolve complex network issues.

Don’t worry if you don’t tick all the boxes – if you meet most of them, we encourage you to submit your application.  We’re most interested in your strengths, what you want to learn and how far you want to go.

Due to the nature of the role, you must be an Australian Citizen who holds an active TSPV security clearance; accompanied by the ability to be successful for a DISA/OSA.
