In this role, you will lead the engineering vision and execution for a large-scale, customer-facing telematics platform used by global insurers, automakers, and mobility providers. You will own end-to-end delivery across product development, platform reliability, and system evolution, ensuring a seamless experience for millions of end users. This is a high-impact leadership role where you will balance strategic planning with hands-on execution across complex distributed systems. You will collaborate closely with product, commercial, and customer-facing teams to shape roadmap priorities and deliver measurable outcomes. The environment is fast-moving and deeply cross-functional, requiring strong technical judgment and operational rigor. You will also play a key role in building and scaling a high-performing engineering organization while driving platform modernization initiatives.

Accountabilities:

  • Own the end-to-end engineering delivery, performance, and reliability of a large-scale customer-facing telematics platform, ensuring stability across feature development, operations, and production systems.
  • Lead the vision, architecture, and execution of next-generation platform capabilities, including modernization and migration from legacy systems.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment with product, commercial, and customer success teams to define priorities and deliver unified, high-quality customer experiences.
  • Ensure system availability and operational excellence through active involvement in monitoring, incident response, and production health management.
  • Oversee large-scale system design decisions, including microservices-based architectures, cloud infrastructure, and high-throughput distributed systems.
  • Build, mentor, and scale high-performing engineering teams, fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, and technical excellence.
  • Balance roadmap execution, production stability, and business-as-usual operations in a fast-paced, high-change environment.
  • Requirements:

    • 8–12+ years of software engineering experience, including 3–5+ years in engineering leadership roles managing teams and delivering production systems.
    • Strong background in computer science or engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
    • Proven experience owning customer-facing, production-grade platforms with accountability for availability, performance, and reliability.
    • Deep technical expertise in scalable distributed systems, including microservices architectures, cloud-native applications, and high-volume web systems.
    • Hands-on experience with cloud environments (preferably AWS), CI/CD pipelines, and modern observability practices (logging, monitoring, tracing).
    • Strong ability to diagnose and resolve complex production issues through log analysis, system debugging, and performance tuning.
    • Demonstrated success leading distributed teams and cross-functional collaboration with product, QA, and customer-facing stakeholders.
    • Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence technical and non-technical audiences.
