Senior Financial Analyst
The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity to join the Japan Finance team, a high-performing FP&A function that delivers analytical insight, drives change, and supports strong top-line growth and margin expansion.
In this role, you will partner with the Japan Senior Director, Digital GTM & Sales for the B2C Creativity & Productivity(C&P) business, with responsibility for supporting the financial performance of the Japan B2C Sales organisation.
The role is based in Tokyo and reports to the Director, FP&A, Asia-Pacific and Japan.
What you'll do:
Planning: Lead top-line planning, rolling forecasts, and reporting for the Japan B2C C&P business, including ARR bookings and expense management. Set and communicate targets, drive the end-to-end planning process, partner with stakeholders, assess final results, and distil insights for Japan and Corporate leadership.
Forecasting: Develop and refine forecasting processes, methodologies, drivers and modelling techniques to deliver robust ARR forecasts. Bring strong curiosity and analytical rigour to identify root causes and clearly explain key variances between actuals, plans and forecasts.
Reporting: Prepare executive-level reporting materials that clearly summarise financial performance, including quarterly financial reviews, QBR decks and presentations for executive visits.
Process Excellence & Automation: Drive efficient processes and reporting by using modern finance tools and AI to create insight-led visuals and self-service solutions. Act as the main liaison with the Adobe finance systems team, helping make finance data and operating metrics easier to access and use.
Business Partnering:
- Collaborate closely with Japan and regional sales teams to deliver strong financial analysis and actionable insights across supported markets.
- Advise business groups on budget management and performance against top-line metrics.
What you need to succeed:
Experience in a multinational organisation is preferred.
A positive, can-do attitude and a strong sense of urgency are essential.
Ability to partner closely with sales teams while demonstrating credibility, independence and integrity.
Strong financial acumen, analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the communication skills to explain key business and financial impacts clearly.
Highly organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects, prioritise effectively, meet deadlines, and perform well in a fast-paced environment.
A collaborative team player who works effectively with peers across borders and cultures.
Strong understanding of technology sales, with experience gathering and analysing sales data.
Solid knowledge of financial systems and processes. Advanced Excel skills are essential; experience with Power BI, TM1, Tableau, Anaplan, or AI is an advantage.
Experience in a SaaS business model, including related sales analytics or finance issues, is desirable.
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or a related field; a professional qualification such as CA, CPA or MBA is preferred.
At least 8 years’ experience in FP&A or a related field.
Business-level proficiency in English is required.
Business-level proficiency in Japanese is preferred.
