We are looking for a Liability Claims Adjuster Trainee. The Liability Claims Adjuster Trainee is responsible for administrative and clerical functions to assist with client claims administration as on-site liaison for Davies’ claims operations.
This role is onsite at the client’s main office in Orlando, Florida.
- Intake, collect, review, sort, and organize all accident/incident reports and open claims when applicable.
- Reporting claims that fall under the client’s insurance policies.
- Ensuring documents or other materials needed for claims adjudication are provided.
- Generate reports or loss runs from TPA/Davies’ system as requested by client.
- Handle telephone calls from third parties and perform intake or refer to assigned claims adjuster.
- Log subrogation/restitution recoveries and deliver to client’s finance department.
- Assist in other duties that support the client’s property and casualty program.
- Attach claim documents to the claims system.
- Adhere to protocols, policies and procedures regardless of work location.
- Work effectively in two different databases/systems, MS Office, and Outlook.
- Assist with other administrative duties, special projects, etc. as assigned by management.
- Excellent customer service and ability to liaise professionally with client contacts on-site at client location, while effectively maintaining policy and procedure.
- Professional appearance and demeanor; effective communicator verbally and in writing.
- Able to work effectively in fast paced environment. Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively.
- Organized, motivated, detail-orientated, self-starter with good judgment.
- Ability to function efficiently and effectively in multiple systems to accomplish goals of the position, ensuring adherence to policies.
- Maintain accurate and detailed information and documentation within the claims management system and other data storage systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Excellent typing/PC skills (40+wpm).
- Reliable, good attendance record.
- Dedicated to company and corporate culture in support of company operations and goals.
- Bilingual - Spanish/English preferred.
