 Your Role

  • Support the identification, mitigation and management of AML related risks; reporting and escalation of such risks as needed; mitigating AML improvements identified by internal and external auditors as well as compliance monitoring
  • Perform client due diligence as required, including individual Client risk assessments and KYC. Ensure Client onboarding and ongoing due diligence is completed as required on a risk-based approach. Escalate individual cases as required.
  • Screen all Clients and relevant parties again sanctions, PEP and adverse media lists. Investigate and close out all potential hits; escalate any possible confirmed hits.
  • Complete all tasks in accordance with the team procedures and within the designated timeframe (SLA).
  • Manage and support all AML related projects with relevant stakeholders when required. Act as the AML team representative and ensure all team requirements are taken into consideration. Support the team with regulatory reporting requests.
  • Work closely with Global Financial Crime team where it is responsible for the 2nd line of defense, especially on escalations, reporting and the implementation or change to AML processes in line with AML regulations and policy.
  • Prepare accurate monthly MIS reports for internal stakeholders, senior management, Board and other parties as appropriate.
  • Support all AML related internal and external audits, Compliance Monitoring and other reviews as required .
  • Take ownership of complex anti-money laundering matters and complex client cases, working with relevant business teams; escalating to the team Manager as appropriate
  • Ensure all activities are in line with Invesco’s Conduct principles.

Formal Education:  (minimum requirement to perform job duties)

  • Degree or comparable work experience.
  • AML qualification would be an advantage.

 

Knowledge

  • AML Expert.
  • Good understanding on what a great AML process looks like and how to manage it.
  • Good understanding of general asset management and oversight processes and linkage of AML to other functions
  • Good understanding of AML due diligence processes and client screening
  • Excellent knowledge of current AML regulations and market practice

Experience

  • Relevant 8-10 years of experience of AML related topics within the Financial Services industry in the Funds industry.
  • Experienced in performing AML risk assessments and applying client due diligence accordingly.
