We are seeking a Senior Associate, Valuations to work with our Risk Advisory team. If you have experience valuing illiquid investments, financial instruments, or alternative assets, you will apply your expertise to complex analyses, challenge key assumptions, and prepare high-quality client deliverables. This remote work opportunity is open to Caricom nationals.
The role will focus primarily on valuation services, for which responsibilities include:
Conducting financial analyses and valuations of a variety of financial instruments, including private equity, private debt, venture capital, and real estate;
Reviewing valuation reports and analysis prepared by clients and clients' advisors;
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional and multidisciplinary teams, including internal specialists and global colleagues, to deliver high-quality outcomes.
Preparing independent analysis to assess the reasonableness of the key assumptions and valuation conclusions reached, and performing sensitivity and scenario analyses as necessary; and
Preparing written deliverables, including valuation reports, memorandums and presentations for internal and external clients.
Other responsibilities, with respect to the broader services provided by the Advisory team, may include:
Assisting in planning and executing risk advisory engagements including financial, operational and regulatory risk assessments;
Conducting process walkthroughs and performing internal controls testing to identify gaps and recommend improvements;
Analysing client’s financial statements and performance metrics to identify risks and opportunities;
Assisting with the preparation of client-facing materials, including presentations, information packs, and stakeholder communications;
Ensuring compliance with firm risk management, quality assurance, and professional standards, maintaining accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality in all work performed.
Requirements:
A minimum of three (3) years of experience in a professional services environment such as audit, consulting, or corporate finance, ideally with a focus on the valuation of illiquid investments.
An internationally recognised professional qualification in accounting/finance (ACA, CA, etc) is essential.
A valuation / finance focused qualification (CFA, ABV, CBV, etc), or progress towards obtaining one, would also be preferred.
