This role provides professional service and expertise in a broad, overarching and unspecified area of financial matters, which may include planning, analysis and reporting accountabilities for organizational unit(s) assigned in a range of functional areas of all Siemens organization.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Business Performance Analysis – Ownership of the analysis and appraisal of business performance, underlying operational KPI’s, and relevant internal and external developments, profitability and growth analysis, performance commentaries, presentations, bridges, and business reviews.  Act as Financial partner to the Commercial Head of the NAM POC business. Collaborate with Sales and Marketing Organizations to actively drive instrument shipments, assay growth, new assay launches, marketing plans, deal escalations etc. in order to realize top line instrument/reagent revenue growth and profit targets.  Use data modelling techniques to identify ways in which the NAM POC organization can compete more effectively.    

  • Financial Reporting - Ownership of the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial cadence.  Drives the financial reporting consolidation and commentary for the NAM POC business and ensures integrity and data quality of management reporting to the Global Point of Care Leadership Team and NAM Commercial Team (e.g. Performance Dialogues, Monthly Reviews, Reporting Packages etc.).  Develop reporting standards, including performance review formats for Business Lines.  Collaborate strongly with Business Lines and act as main interface for finance information related to the NAM POC business.  Drives preparations of ad-hoc reports to be created in a timely manner and with action-oriented analysis to management. 

  • Planning and Forecasting - Responsible for monthly, quarterly and annual forecast consolidation (income statement, balance sheet, cash), including data integrity, data consolidation and validation across various tools (e.g. Jedox, PATH, HOP).  Be an enabler of useful and dependable data for the NAM POC business, including KPI definitions. Orchestrate the budget process for NAM POC business, including target setting, performance evaluations and management presentations.

  • Productivity – Manage productivity and efficiency initiatives for the NAM POC business, including the recording, reporting and review of productivity measures and their implementation (e.g. PUMA). 

  • Risk Management & Internal Control Process - Establishes a governance within NAM POC business for cost reporting & controlling.  Orchestrate risk management, productivity workshops and process, while creating transparency regarding the risk situation, reporting and controlling of identified risks by appropriate mitigation measures, and fulfillment of associated legal requirements.

  • Digital Finance - Develop digital finance reporting strategy and roadmap for the NAM POC business.  Serves as a leader in innovation, introducing and implementing digitization solutions for the finance organization.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Marketing, and related area(s)

  • 8-10+ years in relevant field, balanced against relevant Siemens’s experience

  • Demonstrated understanding of accounting and finance principles.  MBA and/or CPA preferred, is an asset

  • Strong analytical and financial skills, with ability to apply problem solving techniques, creativity, and critical thinking to drive continuous improvement

  • Effective communicator with team members and with Senior level management

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with and influence all levels from individual contributors to executives, including those who are more technically focused

  • Ability to build effective strategy (both with our customers and internally) and couple it with execution

  • Demonstrated ownership and accountability 

  • Demonstrated strong change management capability 

  • Proven ability to manage projects/tasks to ensure timely delivery with high quality results

  • Self-starter, capable of bringing projects to a successful conclusion with minimal supervision

  • Project management, business process reengineering knowledge 

  • Experience with digitalization and business process improvement

  • Proven ability to work with business analytics tools, dashboards, conduct data analysis, and drive implementation of improvement projects 

  • Ability to evaluate and support implementation of new tools

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Expertise within the Microsoft Office suite of products is necessary; power apps preferred

  • Travel required, estimated 5%

  • Hybrid work model

The base pay range for this position is:

$141,340 - $194,337

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

If this is a commission eligible position the commission eligibility will be in accordance with the terms of the Company's plan. Commissions are based on individual performance and/or company performance.
