Manager, Financial Advisors
We’re seeking a collaborative and growth-minded leader to manage a team of Advisors in Vanguard's Mass Affluent space. This role focuses on developing advisor talent through coaching, performance management, and strategic support to drive client outcomes. The manager will foster a culture of continuous learning, accountability, and excellence while partnering across the business to support evolving needs. Success in this role depends on strong relationship-building, a commitment to team development, and the ability to guide others through change.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a team of IC5 Mass Affluent Advisors through coaching, performance management, and goal setting
- Hire and onboard advisor talent, partnering with HR to build a strong pipeline for Personal Wealth.
- Manage a shared book of business with a focus on client enrollment, satisfaction, and retention.
- Provide ongoing feedback and support to Advisors, identifying trends and driving continuous improvement.
- Collaborate across Personal Wealth teams to enhance policies, staffing plans, and operational processes
- Offer technical guidance on financial planning and assist Advisors in resolving client issues.
- Support audit and control processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Champion change management initiatives and resolve escalated issues
- Contribute to special projects and evolving business needs as assigned
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience; advanced degree preferred.
- This job requires the SIE, Series 7,63, & 66 (or equivalent, or ability to obtain within 120 days) regulatory license and/or registration (e.g., FINRA, state, SFC). These will be determined by Compliance based on role specific requirements and responsibilities.
- Proven ability to coach and develop others to drive outcomes.
- Comfortable managing projects or workstreams from start to finish.
- Able to lead through change and ambiguity as the business evolves.
- Quick learner who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
