Relationship Manager, Sr. Specialist
Core Responsibilities
- Manages complex relationships with existing clients. Supports strategy planning for a book of business. Tracks growth opportunities, contributes to business planning activities, and drives client retention and loyalty through strategic and consultative guidance.
- Proactively assesses client needs through strategic planning and consultations. Recommends service and operational enhancements. Presents recommendations to key client decision makers.
- Resolves complex client issues related to products, services, or processes. Drives the development and implementation of potential solutions to meet client needs.
- Leverages experience and internal network to determine creative solutions for clients, often requiring cross-functional collaboration and cross-team ownership.
- Uses advanced knowledge of Vanguard funds, products, and services compared to our competitors. Strategically position Vanguard's products and services and enhance client loyalty.
- Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum of eight years related work experience. Five years experience in Financial Services and Relationship Management strongly preferred.
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Graduate degree preferred.
- This job requires a regulatory license and/or registration (e.g. FINRA, state, SFC). These will be determined by Compliance based on role-specific duties.
