This role sits at the intersection of product, engineering, and user experience, focused on building high-performance, scalable web applications that directly impact users in a mission-driven, fast-paced environment. You will help shape modern frontend architecture while delivering intuitive and reliable interfaces used across critical workflows. Accountabilities
- Design and develop scalable, high-quality frontend features using modern frameworks such as React and TypeScript.
- Build and maintain reusable UI components, shared libraries, and design patterns to improve consistency and efficiency.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to translate requirements into performant user interfaces.
- Contribute to frontend architecture decisions including state management, API integration, performance optimization, and code structure.
- Improve application performance by identifying bottlenecks, optimizing rendering, and ensuring responsive, accessible experiences.
- Participate in code reviews, providing technical feedback and raising engineering standards across the team.
- Support best practices in testing, CI/CD workflows, documentation, and frontend engineering standards.
- Ensure user-centric design by aligning UI decisions with usability, accessibility, and UX principles.
Requirements
- 5+ years of frontend engineering experience, including strong hands-on work with React.
- Deep proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and modern browser APIs.
- Strong understanding of frontend architecture, component design patterns, and state management approaches.
- Solid CS fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, and networking concepts.
- Experience with modern tooling such as Webpack, Vite, or similar build systems.
- Familiarity with testing frameworks such as Jest and Cypress, and CI/CD workflows.
- Strong understanding of UX principles, responsive design, and accessibility standards (WCAG).
- Experience implementing authentication and authorization flows such as OAuth, JWT, or SSO.
- Bonus: exposure to backend technologies (Node.js, REST, GraphQL), data visualization tools, or cloud environments.
