DESCRIPTION:
Join our collaborative team as a Field Applications Engineer at Thermo Fisher Scientific, where you'll contribute by providing expert technical support and innovative solutions to our customers. You'll work at the intersection of advanced technology and customer success, helping organizations optimize their research, development, and manufacturing processes. In this role, you'll deliver product demonstrations, conduct customer training, and provide comprehensive application support across our instrument portfolio. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of solutions while building strong relationships with customers as their trusted technical advisor.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Advanced degree with no prior experience required, OR Bachelor's degree plus 2 years of experience with relevant instrumentation and applications
• Preferred Fields of Study: Physics, Materials Science, Chemistry, Engineering, Life Sciences, or related field
• Additional certifications in relevant technical specialties advantageous
• Demonstrated expertise in laboratory processes, workflows, and data management principles
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards (FDA, ISO, GLP, GMP)
• Advanced problem-solving skills and ability to analyze complex technical requirements
• Experience with database systems and software platforms (Oracle, SQL Server, Python)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to deliver technical presentations
• Strong interpersonal skills for building productive customer relationships
• Ability to work independently and as part of cross-functional teams
• Travel required up to 30-50%
• Valid driver's license and passport required
• Proficiency in relevant software tools and automation platforms
• Ability to exercise discretion with confidential and proprietary information
• Ability to adapt to varying work schedules
• Detail-oriented with commitment to quality
• Knowledge of cloud services and infrastructure highly desirable
