This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Electrical Engineer – Power System Studies based in India.

This role focuses on advanced power system analysis for utility-scale renewable energy projects, including solar PV and battery energy storage systems. You will be responsible for executing and leading critical engineering studies that ensure the safety, reliability, and performance of complex electrical networks. The position involves working on short-circuit, load flow, grounding, arc flash, harmonic, and power quality studies, while also contributing to system design and equipment specifications. You will operate in a fast-paced, internationally collaborative environment, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and clients. The role offers significant ownership over technical deliverables and exposure to large-scale clean energy infrastructure. It is ideal for an engineer who enjoys deep technical problem-solving and wants to contribute directly to the global energy transition.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead and execute power system studies including load flow, short circuit, arc flash, grounding, harmonic, ampacity, and power quality analyses for renewable energy projects.
  • Develop and review electrical designs for collection systems, including cable routing, sizing, and optimization.
  • Prepare and validate equipment specifications for solar PV, inverters, transformers, BESS, and balance-of-system components.
  • Produce detailed technical reports, engineering documentation, and client-facing presentations on study outcomes and recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, safety codes, and project-specific technical requirements.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality engineering outputs.

  • Guide and mentor junior engineers, reviewing technical work and providing direction on engineering approaches.
  • Apply engineering judgment to evaluate solutions and resolve complex technical challenges.
  • Support continuous improvement in engineering methods, tools, and study workflows.
  • Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree (B.E./B.Tech.) or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
    • 3+ years of experience in power systems studies such as load flow, short circuit, arc flash, grounding, harmonics, and power quality analysis.
    • Hands-on experience with power system analysis tools such as ETAP, PSS/E, PSLF, CDEGS, CYMCAP, or similar platforms.
    • Experience in renewable energy, power transmission, distribution, solar PV, or energy storage system projects.
    • Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and system modeling techniques.
    • Experience applying Python or similar programming languages for automation or analysis is preferred.
    • Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills in English, with ability to work in international teams.
    • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and meet tight deadlines.
    • Strong analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving and attention to detail.
    • Ability to work in a structured evening/night shift schedule aligned with global collaboration needs.
    • Collaborative, proactive, and capable of working with minimal supervision.
    • Benefits:

      • Competitive compensation aligned with experience and technical expertise.
      • Comprehensive health and wellness coverage, including hospitalization, mental health support, dental, vision, and preventive care.
      • Accident, disability, and life insurance coverage.
      • Paid vacation, sick leave, holidays, and parental leave benefits.
      • Opportunity to work on large-scale renewable energy and utility infrastructure projects.
      • Exposure to international engineering teams and global project standards.
      • Employee-focused culture emphasizing growth, collaboration, and technical excellence.
