  • Perform detailed technical evaluations and design reviews of medium-voltage electrical systems for thermal power plants.
  • Support project due diligence, risk assessments, economic analysis, and cost evaluation to guide project decision-making.
  • Contribute to the design and optimization of electrical systems for gas turbines, combined cycle, coal-fired, and reciprocating engine power plants.
  • Review and validate engineering deliverables to ensure compliance with industry standards, project requirements, and client expectations.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure technically sound, efficient, and commercially viable engineering solutions.
  • Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from a CEAB-accredited program in Canada or an ABET-accredited program in the United States.
    • 12+ years of experience in the electric power industry, with strong expertise in medium-voltage electrical design for thermal power generation projects.
    • Proven experience working on utility-scale generation projects such as simple cycle, combined cycle, coal-fired plants, or reciprocating engine systems.
    • Strong background in conceptual design and development support for large-scale power infrastructure projects.
    • Excellent technical communication and report-writing skills, with the ability to clearly present complex engineering concepts.
    • Experience in technical due diligence, owner’s engineering, cost analysis, or contract-related engineering work is considered an asset.
    • Familiarity with international design codes and standards, with exposure to multidisciplinary engineering environments.
    • Ability to work in a highly analytical, detail-oriented setting while managing multiple technical priorities.
    • Benefits:

      • Competitive compensation package aligned with experience and industry standards
      • Comprehensive healthcare coverage and wellness support programs
      • Generous paid time off and work-life balance focus
      • Eligibility for annual discretionary bonus
