Your contribution to something big: 

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the mechanical design and development of displays and remote controls for Bosch eBike Systems. You will oversee the product lifecycle from initial requirement analysis and concept creation to successful introduction into serial production. Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Translate complex product requirements into robust 3D designs and technical drawings for mechanical parts.
  • Secure that the product design fulfills manufacturing process needs, supporting the development of assembly processes and joining technologies (such as gluing, welding, and taping) with internal and external partners.
  • Coordinate Design for Manufacturing (DFM) reviews to ensure a seamless industrialization phase from concept to mass production.
  • Manage the alignment and technical coordination with suppliers, manufacturing partners, and the production plant.
  • Create and maintain complete engineering and mass production documentation.

What distinguishes you:

  • Education: Completed university degree (Bachelor or Master) in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of professional experience in Mechanical Design.
  • Know-how:
    • Strong proficiency in 3D design and technical drawing creation, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Experience with PTC CREO is highly preferred.
    • Deep industrial knowledge of mechanical manufacturing processes and technologies (e.g., plastic injection molding, welding, gluing, taping, and automated assembly).
    • Solid experience in coordinating with external suppliers and manufacturing partners (highly valued).
    • Familiarity with outdoor consumer electronics, displays, ECUs, or IoT products is preferred.
  • Languages: Fluency in spoken and written English.
  • Working Style and Methods: Assertive, reliable, and highly organized, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Willingness to travel and strong intercultural competence.
  • Personality: Collaborative team player who communicates effectively across multidisciplinary and global teams.
