Self scheduling: 6 week schedule

36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts, 7:00PM to 7:30AM

Every third weekend rotation, 50% holiday rotation

Intensive Care Unit

Where You Will Work:

Our Patient Population: West Allis Medical ICU

  • 16 Bed unit providing care to critically ill patients.

  • Diagnosis includes Sepsis, Stroke, Respiratory conditions, chronic Vent, Acute Kidney Injury, Pulmonary Emboli/Deep Vein Thrombosis, Diabetic Ketoacidosis, Substance Abuse along with many other comorbidities.

  • Master skills in pharmacology, pathophysiology, laboratory value interpretation and in-depth assessments of patients.

  • Supportive learning environment, team approach, patient centric care to optimize patient outcomes.

  • Opportunities for shared governance and committee work at unit and site levels

 We’re Looking For:

  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing

  • Candidates must have at least 1 year of RN experience, this position is not for new grads

  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association

  • As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.

  • Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
