Reporting to the UW Center for Pediatric Dentistry Director, and PSS Supervisor, the Patient Services Specialist 2 performs clerical and technical duties to facilitate excellent customer service and delivery of patient care. The PSS2 will perform the work of registration by obtaining and verifying demographic and financial information through pre-registration process, complete patient registration by obtaining consent for dental care and financial agreement, process patient paperwork and coordinating care with other provide support services such as: scheduling patient appointments, obtaining and verifying demographic and financial information through pre-registration process, completing patient registration by obtaining consent for dental care and financial agreement, processing patient paperwork and coordinating care with other clinics, and triaging patient telephone calls to clinical staff/providers and providing information about services. This position will have significant direct contact with faculty, residents, and patients above and beyond other clinic desks. This clinic operates with a more private practice centric model which puts higher demands on the front desk.
The Center for Pediatric Dentistry at the UW School of Dentistry is one of the premier clinical training programs for Pediatric dentists in the country. Our faculty, staff, and students have a teamwork approach to clinical care to ensure the patient has the best possible treatment experience.
