Position Overview

The Hotel Nurse is primarily responsible for the health, safety, and medical welfare of the hotel's employees (80% of the role) and guests (20% of the role). This position acts as a vital bridge between the Human Resources department and health compliance, ensuring all staff members meet local regulatory health requirements while maintaining a pristine, compliant on-site clinic/First Aid Room. The Hotel Nurse also provides administrative support for employee medical insurance and assists with broader HR initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Employee Health & Government Compliance

  • Medical Commission & Visas: Coordinate, schedule, and accompany all employees to the Medical Commission for their mandatory employment visa medical screenings.

  • Food Handlers Medicals: Manage the end-to-end process for food handlers’ medical certificates, ensuring 100% compliance with municipal regulations for all kitchen, stewarding, and food and beverage service staff.

  • Clinic/First Aid Room Management: Maintain the hotel’s main first aid room/clinic in perfect, audit-ready condition, strictly adhering to all Ministry of Health requirements, licensing, and standards.

  • First Aid Readiness: Conduct regular Audits and replenish all first aid boxes located across the hotel property and staff accommodations.

2. Guest Care & Emergency Response

  • Guest Medical Assistance: Provide immediate, professional first aid and triage care to hotel guests in the event of illness or injury (comprising approximately 20% of daily focus).

  • Emergency Coordination: Assess medical situations accurately and coordinate with local emergency services or hospitals when advanced medical care is required for guests or staff.

3. Medical Insurance & HR Administration

  • Insurance Enrollment: Manage the medical insurance lifecycle for all employees, ensuring new hires are enrolled immediately upon joining.

  • Insurance De-provisioning: Process terminations promptly by removing departing employees from the health insurance plan to optimize company costs.

  • HR Support: Actively participate in, and assist with, various Human Resources activities, employee engagement initiatives, and wellness events as directed by the Director of Human Resources (DHR).

Job Requirements & Qualifications

Education & License | Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing with a valid, active nursing license from the local Ministry of Health.
Experience | 2–3 years of experience in a similar role within a hotel, corporate setting, or occupational health environment.
Regulatory Knowledge | Strong understanding of local Ministry of Health requirements, Medical Commission procedures, and food handler certification laws.
Skills | Exceptional organizational skills for handling large-scale scheduling, strong administrative proficiency (MS Office), and excellent communication skills.
Attributes | Highly empathetic, discrete with sensitive medical data, and able to collaborate effectively with the HR team.
