Senior Physiotherapist
The Red Bull Athlete Performance Center (APC) is an athlete accelerator that supports world-class athletes to maximize their individual potential, within an innovative environment and with a powerful global network of specialists.
This role will be responsible for delivering high-quality assessment, treatment, rehabilitation, and return-to-performance support for elite athletes across multiple sporting disciplines. Working as part of the interdisciplinary Red Bull APC performance team, the role combines evidence-based physiotherapy, manual therapy, injury prevention, athlete monitoring, and close collaboration with doctors, S&C coaches, sport scientists, nutritionists, and mental performance specialists.
Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation
You will strategically implement the highest level of medical care to our athletes by providing a comprehensive plan associated with both short- and long-term rehabilitation and performance outcomes.
You will deliver both world-class hands-on therapy and hands-off coaching on the training floor. This comprises medical training therapy supporting a seamless transition from treatment to performance training.
You will help to drive the development of evidence-based protocols for all areas of medical services within the Red Bull APC.
Evaluating and keeping detailed records of all activities as it pertains to the role of a Physiotherapist.
Interdisciplinarity
You will collaborate with other APC departments (S&C, Sport Science, Nutrition, Mental Performance) and participate in interdisciplinary teams with the other APC staff members
You will work collaboratively within this interdisciplinary team to push the boundaries of human performance - leading to improved performance and developmental outcomes for Red Bull athletes
master's degree or comparable degree in physiotherapy
Significant experience (10 years +) in the delivery of diagnosis and prevention of sport related injuries, manual therapy and active physical therapy
Extensive work experience (5 years +) in international elite sporting disciplines providing medical care, physiotherapy, orthopedic care and/or rehabilitation services to athletes.
Extensive experience in the analysis and processing of prevention measures
Extensive experience in the transfer of knowledge
Experience working in an interdisciplinary team of sports scientists, medical professionals, S&C coaches, and other high-performance staff
Comprehensive understanding of the tools needed to optimize athletic performance and how they associate with sport medicine practices
Follows evidence-based practices while keeping an open mind to constantly evolve and develop best practices
Effective team player
Strong communication skills combined with a high level of social competence
Good understanding of Athlete Management Software and monitoring technologies
proficiency in English (written and spoken), German is a plus
For legal reasons, we are required to disclose the collective agreement minimum salary of EUR 4.244 for this position. However, our attractive compensation package is aligned with market‑competitive salaries and therefore significantly exceeds the stated minimum.
