About the Role:
Crusoe is seeking a skilled Immigration Specialist on a contract basis to support our rapidly growing workforce. This role sits at the center of Crusoe's immigration operations, acting as the connective tissue between our internal recruiting team, external immigration counsel/vendor, and employees navigating the U.S. immigration process. You will own the full case lifecycle from initiation through approval and be the first point of contact for all immigration-related questions.
What You'll Be Working On:
Kick off new immigration cases (H-1B, H-1B transfers, O-1, TN, E-3, PERM, Green Card) upon offer acceptance or internal request.
Track all active cases across in a case management system, maintaining accurate status, deadlines, and expiration dates.
Serve as the primary immigration resource for recruiters, answering questions on visa eligibility, transfer mechanics, start date constraints, and cap exposure.
Provide work authorization guidance during the offer process so recruiting can set accurate candidate expectations.
Act as the day-to-day liaison between Crusoe and our immigration vendor.
Route documents, approvals, and employee data to counsel efficiently, follow up to keep cases moving on schedule.
Review petitions and filings prepared by counsel before submission for accuracy and completeness.
Receive, log, and distribute all USCIS correspondence, including approval notices (I-797), RFEs, NOIDs, and transfer receipts.
Maintain a central repository of all I-797 approval notices, EAD cards, and visa documents.
Coordinate responses to RFEs with counsel under tight deadlines.
Track USCIS processing times and update stakeholders accordingly.
Coordinate immigration-related onboarding tasks for new hires, including I-9 completion, E-Verify, and visa stamp guidance.
Maintain a real-time immigration tracker for all active cases, upcoming expirations, and pending government actions.
Monitor LCA postings and Public Access File compliance.
What You'll Bring to the Team:
3–5 years of corporate immigration experience, either in-house or at an immigration law firm.
Hands-on experience with H-1B petitions, transfers, extensions, cap-subject filings, and PERM.
Familiarity with O-1, TN, E-3, L-1, and Green Card (EB-2/EB-3) processes.
Proven ability to manage a high-volume caseload independently.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with case management tools.
Extremely organized with meticulous attention to deadlines and document accuracy.
Bonus Points:
Experience supporting a high-growth tech company or AI/cloud computing environment.
Familiarity with I-9/E-Verify compliance administration.
Experience working with multiple external immigration vendors simultaneously.
Exposure to international immigration (Canada, UK, EU) is a plus.
Compensation Range
Compensation will be paid in the range of up to $75.00 per hour. Compensation to be determined by the applicant's knowledge, education, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
