The Workplace Experience team is dynamic and fast-growing. We collaborate to create an inspiring workplace for our amazing colleagues. Our mission is to provide a workplace experience that competes with the best. We strive to exceed our team members' expectations by always thinking one step ahead when providing solutions. We are seeking an experienced Workplace Receptionist to manage and oversee all reception desk workplace-related activities and operations, ensuring a safe, secure, and functional work environment for our employees. 

 

About the role

As a Coordinator, you will be the first point of contact. Our Coordinator’s duties include offering administrative support across the organization. You will welcome guests and greet people who visit the business. You will also coordinate front-desk activities, including distributing correspondence and managing day-to-day projects to enhance the experience. 

To be successful as a Coordinator, you should have a pleasant personality, as this is also a customer service role. You should also be able to deal with emergencies in a timely and effective manner, while streamlining office operations. Multitasking and problem solving are essential for this position. This role may require working in shifts, so flexibility is a plus. 

The ideal candidate will have endless curiosity and can pair a global mindset with locally relevant execution. You should be a gritty problem solver and self-starter who can drive programs with the product and commercial teams within the organization and across external strategic partner organizations. The successful candidate will display a balance of hard and soft skills, including the ability to respond quickly to changing business needs. 

For New York Only - The estimated hourly rate for this position is between $60,000-$70,000

Compensation packages are based on factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, certifications, and specific geographical location.

What you’ll be doing

  • The Front Desk Coordinator works closely with the Facilities and Security team and is responsible for answering telephones, greeting, registering, and directing visitors and guests. 
  • Maintain regular desk coverage hours (8:30am-5pm) Monday – Thursday, (9am-5pm) on Fridays to develop good communication and a positive community environment with Roku employees. 
  • Maintain a neat and professional appearance / demeanor, and an organized reception area. 
  • Office event coordination and planning
  • Room Calendar Management
  • Manage access to badges/fobs.
  • Additional general office support tasks as assigned.
  • Adhere to office budget and spend process
  • Coordinate new hire packets and seating assignments

 

We’re excited if you have

  • 1-3 years reception experience required. 
  • Strong oral and written communication skills. 
  • Possess professionalism and friendly, team player personality. 
  • Ability to effectively work individually or in a team environment. 
  • Competency in multi-tasking. 
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel). 
  • Proficient in Jira, OfficeSpace, Zoom, Slack, Canva (preferred)
  • High school diploma/GED required.

Fridays are flexible for remote work except for employees whose roles are required to be in the office five days a week or employees who are in offices with a five day in office policy.
