Job Description:
This job is responsible for supporting their desk by providing input and analysis on macroeconomic markets by conducting complex modeling projects for specific business units or risk types. Key responsibilities include distributing factual summaries and trade ideas to drive business strategy and leading the planning related to setting quantitative work priorities in line with the Bank’s overall strategy. Job expectations include collaborating across regions and product lines to ensure consistency throughout the platform and managing and developing junior quantitative analysts.

Seeking a seasoned professional to join the systematic trading strats pod within our FICC E-Trading & Market Structure (front office/in-business) horizontal team. This NY based role will focus on driving the Credit systematic trading ecosystem, which includes algo trading, portfolio trading, and ETF creation/redemption activities. The strats pod is responsible for leading the development of systematic market-making algorithms, designing quantitative trading strategies/methods, building desk tools and analytics, as well as shaping market structure developments and e-trading strategy. The role requires deep quantitative, business, and technical expertise, and demands close partnership with trading and technology stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities:

  • Originating, designing, and deploying systematic trading ideas and strategies, with ownership of end-to-end delivery

  • Architecting frameworks, tools, and visualizations (e.g. workflow, risk exhaustion, P&L attribution, hedging) that scale across the desk

  • Leading enhancement and optimization efforts across ETF primary, systematic corporate bond trading, and portfolio trading

  • Representing the strats pod in communications with senior management on technology/quant-related initiatives, priorities, and roadmaps

  • Conducting rigorous, in-depth data analysis of markets, strategy performance, AMM/HMM execution, and surfacing actionable insight

  • Partnering with technology and quant teams to shape product direction, mentor junior members, and drive cross-functional projects to completion

Skills:

  • Academic background at undergraduate/masters level in finance or STEM subjects; advanced degree preferred

  • Expert-level programming skills in Python, KDB, SQL

  • 5+ years of financial industry experience, with meaningful tenure in a front-office or e-trading environment

  • Deep domain expertise in Credit markets, including market microstructure and electronic trading dynamics

  • Proven ability to communicate complex quantitative concepts to senior stakeholders with clarity and precision

  • Strong working knowledge of Credit electronic trading platforms/protocols and familiarity with bond/swap products

  • Track record of operating independently, driving initiatives from concept to production, and mentoring junior talent within a collaborative team setting

Pay range

$300,000.00 - $300,000.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

Discretionary incentive eligible

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan.
