Job Description:
An opportunity for an Export Control Compliance Manager has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space, Getafe (Madrid).
The selected candidate will join the Flight & Integration Test Centre Organization. This multidisciplinary team is in charge of ensuring full compliance with Export Control procedures and directives on the Spanish perimeter. Your key challenge will be to lead the Export Control compliance implementation and coordinate ongoing projects to ensure the operational feasibility of our military aircraft flight test campaigns.
The main tasks of the jobholder will be:
Lead Export Control activities and improvement projects (such as AI-driven auto-classification of parts and technology documents) within the Spanish Test Centre.
Provide regulatory expertise in Spanish, EU dual-use, US EAR, and ITAR regulations applicable to the military aeronautical industry.
Act as technical rater for classifications, ensuring HW/SW and documentation (ECCNs) are correctly categorized and resolving legacy material traceability issues.
Coordinate operational compliance, managing inbound/outbound hardware/software and validating flight test campaigns through the Export Control Hold-And-Release (EC-HAR) tool.
Manage end-to-end licensing requests and export documentation (ECCDs/EUS) to proactively anticipate and ensure continuous operational capacity.
Foster a compliance culture by conducting audits, providing recommendations, and managing tailored export control training sessions for the TADV community (ca. 500 employees).

Education: Degree in Engineering, Law, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
Experience: Proven professional experience in export control, handling US export/re-export transactions (ITAR/EAR) within the aerospace industry (ideally military aircraft).
Technical knowledge: Deep knowledge of Export Control Normative, Airbus tools (DMS, SAP, EC-HAR), and internal guidelines ("Instruction for export controlled HW" and "Customs & Export Control Compliance Assurance").
Soft skills: Proactive, digitally-oriented, high communication and social skills, and the ability to maintain high accuracy in fast-paced, time-sensitive environments.
Languages: Advanced/Fluent level in English.
Valuable / Nice to have: Experience in AI-driven data classification projects or digital automation tools.
