Compliance Analyst

NBCUniversal’s International Compliance Team is looking for a Compliance Analyst to support the management of the company’s third-party risk management programme. The role is primarily responsible for ensuring that third-party intermediaries are identified, risk-assessed, onboarded, and monitored in accordance with internal policies and applicable laws and regulations, focusing on anti-bribery and anti-corruption, anti-money laundering, sanctions and trade controls. The role will also support the team in broader compliance activities as needed.

This role will require close collaboration with the Compliance teams in the UK and U.S., Legal & Business Affairs teams across NBCU’s businesses globally, and internal stakeholders in Government Affairs, HR, Finance, Treasury, Tax, Communications and other functions to support Compliance processes.

You will undertake a wide range of compliance work, including due diligence, monitoring, reporting, training, data analysis and overall programme support.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with the management of NBCUniversal’s third party intermediaries’ framework (e.g. productions companies, sales agents, and custom brokers) (“TPIs”) to support compliance with relevant laws and regulations and internal guidelines and processes, including:
    • Owning the day-to-day management of the Third-Party Management System (TPMS), including user access and query support
    • Partnering closely with business units to guide them through the end-to-end third-party onboarding and refreshing processes
    • Monitoring the TPI profiles, including completion of required controls and tasks
    • Managing documentation, record-keeping, and internal approvals
    • Producing and analyzing TPI metrics and reports, translating data into insights for business stakeholders and compliance governance forums
    • Supporting compliance check-ins, assessments, and audits
    • Delivering Code of Conduct and key policies training to TPIs
    • Conducting employee training on the TPMS
  • Conducting and reviewing screening and background checks on various third parties (including ownership analysis, identifying sanctions and anti-money laundering concerns and identification of government affiliations).
  • Reviewing, monitoring and assessing employee travel to high-risk jurisdictions, conducting outreach and escalating to Compliance Leads to support export controls risk management
  • Gift & Business Entertainment monitoring, reporting & analysis.
  • Acting as initial point person for NBCU’s Speak Up Programme
  • Reviewing external Code of Conducts & vendor on-boarding questionnaires.
  • Helping to administer periodic updates to NBCUniversal’s compliance policies, procedures, training and guidance.
  • Reviewing and testing new Compliance technology initiatives (including the use of AI).
  • Performing other compliance programme related responsibilities and duties, as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Legal background would be useful but not essential.
  • Position requires an organized professional who can proactively manage open matters.
  • Able to prioritize and manage a broad workload and to work to a high professional standard.
  • Candidates will require excellent communication skills, great accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in use of systems like Microsoft Office (i.e. - PowerPoint, Excel, etc) and research/agentic functions of AI tools.
