Content Marketing Lead

Anrok · San Francisco

Anrok is the leading tax automation platform enabling businesses to expand globally without compliance complexity.

As the digital economy has grown 6x over the last decade, software businesses have gone from not worrying about sales tax to needing to monitor exposure, calculate rates, and file returns across 20+ US states and many countries worldwide. This creates a critical bottleneck for companies that should be able to transact with customers everywhere.

Anrok eliminates this complexity by connecting with billing and payment systems to automate tax monitoring, calculations, and filing end-to-end. Our unified platform handles the ever-changing maze of tax laws at municipal, state, and federal levels—so companies can focus on growth, not compliance.

Our customers include:

  • 40% of Forbes Top 50 AI companies

  • 20% of Forbes Top 100 Cloud companies

  • Top companies like Notion, Anthropic, and Cursor

We're making compliant digital commerce a reality for companies big and small, backed by over $100M from leading investors including Sequoia, Index, and Khosla Ventures.

Anrok is hiring a Content Marketing Lead to own how the company shows up in the market through editorial and digital content. You will set the content roadmap, direct the creative, and build the body of work that makes finance and operations leaders stop scrolling.

This is a builder's seat. You will own the strategy and ship the work, partnering closely with marketing and sales and managing our brand and creative agencies. The job is to take a sharp point of view on tax infrastructure and turn it into content people actually want to read, watch, and share.

Tax is not where most people expect to find great content — that is exactly the opening. Anrok has a real point of view, customers building the future, and a category that is wide open. You'll define how a tax infrastructure company earns the market's attention.

In this role, you will

  • Own the content roadmap end to end, from strategy and social/editorial calendar to the work that ships, mapped to brand and pipeline goals.

  • Set creative direction across formats: long-form editorial, thought leadership, video, social, newsletters, and campaign assets.

  • Own the external content voice and build an editorial point of view on tax, finance, and infrastructure that could only come from Anrok.

  • Manage agency and freelance partners across writing, design, and video. Brief the work, hold the bar, and keep the voice consistent.

  • Partner with product marketing and sales to turn launches and customer stories into content that moves deals.

  • Create for every stage of the funnel, from category narrative at the top to proof at the bottom.

  • Own distribution. Decide where content lives, how it travels across channels, and how it compounds into an audience over time.

  • Stay ahead of how content gets found and consumed, including AI-driven search and the feeds your audience actually reads.

  • Tie content to engagement, audience growth, and pipeline, and move budget toward what performs.

What excites us

  • 5+ years creating content for a B2B audience, ideally in SaaS, fintech, or infrastructure.

  • A portfolio with range: digital first, sharp writing, and a few wins that broke through.

  • Strong editorial judgment and a clear view of what great looks like.

  • Experience directing creative and managing agencies or freelancers, not only producing the work yourself.

  • Fluency in how modern audiences discover and consume content, from search to social to AI answers.

  • A bias for shipping. You publish, learn, and iterate rather than wait for perfect.

  • The ability to make a complex category land with a finance or operations leader in a single read.

  • The experience of building a content engine or editorial brand from an early stage.

What we offer

  • The equity upside of an early-stage startup with the product-market fit of a later-stage company.

  • Daily lunch and snacks for those working out of our office hubs.

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance covered 100%.

  • One Medical membership covered, flexible sick benefits, and more.

  • Annual learning and development stipend for books, online courses, and conferences, as well as a curious team to share your learnings with.

  • Annual team off-sites and in-person opportunities around our growing Anrok hubs.

  • Home office setup stipend to ensure you have the equipment you need to thrive at work.

At Anrok, we embrace a dynamic and flexible hybrid work environment based out of our growing office hubs - San Francisco, New York City, and Salt Lake City where we collaborate in-person 3 days per week.

Please be aware, job-seekers may be at risk of targeting by malicious actors looking for personal data. Anrok recruiters will only reach out via LinkedIn or email with an anrok.com domain. Any outreach claiming to be from Anrok via other sources should be ignored.
