About the role: Content Creators help bring Target’s stories to life in ways that are clear, compelling and useful for the audience. This role is for strong writers and storytellers who can flex across formats — from Briefly content and corporate site articles to press releases, executive emails, LinkedIn posts, speeches, talking points and more.
Content Creators need to understand the story behind the ask, the audience we’re trying to reach and the best way to make the message land. They bring writing craft, business context, audience insight and good judgment to help our communications feel connected, thoughtful and distinctly Target.
As a Content Creator, you will:
Write and edit content across a range of formats, including Briefly content, corporate site articles, press releases, executive emails, LinkedIn posts, speeches and talking points.
Turn business priorities and communications needs into clear, audience-relevant content that feels connected to Target’s enterprise story.
Partner with communications peers and business stakeholders to understand the “why” behind the work and recommend the best way to tell the story.
Bring ideas that improve the narrative, sharpen the angle or help the content work harder across channels.
Build strong understanding of assigned business areas, Target’s strategy and the broader environment so content is accurate, relevant and thoughtful.
Apply Target’s voice, editorial standards and reputational judgment to every piece of content.
Manage multiple content needs with agility, care and attention to detail, especially when priorities or timelines shift.

About You:
Minimum of 4 year degree or equivalent experience
Minimum of 8+ years of professional experience
This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target’s needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member’s core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually, depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day.
