11Alive Atlanta is seeking a motivated and strategically minded Media Strategist to support our sales organization as part of a structured Account Executive development program.
This role serves as a strategic extension of the sales team, supporting pre-sale process, business development, proposal development, and integrated campaign development across broadcast, digital, OTT/CTV, streaming, and emerging platforms. Designed as a hands-on developmental role, this position provides exposure to every phase of the advertising sales cycle while preparing high-performing individuals for transition into a future Account Executive role within approximately 12–18 months based on performance and business needs.
This is not a supervisory position. It is a collaborative, execution-focused role for individuals interested in becoming consultative media sales professionals and future revenue leaders within 11Alive Atlanta.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Support
• Support Account Executives, Account Managers, and Sales Leadership with pre-sale activities including prospecting, audience analysis, marketing objective development, proposal support, and integrated campaign strategy across broadcast, digital, OTT/CTV, and emerging platforms.
• Conduct pre-call planning and utilize provided research to support client conversations and sales initiatives.
• The ideal candidate will combine strong analytical thinking, prospecting discipline, business development initiative, and operational execution while gaining hands-on exposure to every phase of the advertising sales cycle
Business Development & Prospecting
• Build target lists, vet prospects, and assist with appointment setting.
• Identify new business opportunities and support pipeline growth across linear and digital platforms.
Development & Growth
This role is part of a structured development pathway designed to build expertise in:
• Prospecting and business development
• Client strategy and proposal development
• Audience analytics and media planning
• Campaign execution and optimization
• Client retention and revenue growth
High-performing individuals may transition into an Account Executive role within 12–18 months based on performance, developmental progress, and business needs.
As part of the program, the Media Strategist will also help support onboarding and training efforts for future program participants through documentation and knowledge sharing.
