KING 5 Media Group, the Home Team for Seattle sports and local storytelling, is seeking motivated, high-potential sales professionals to join our team.
This 12-month accelerated development role is designed to build the next generation of multiplatform media sales professionals through hands-on experience, mentorship, structured training, and progressive selling responsibility across television, streaming, sports sponsorships, and digital advertising solutions.
Participants will gain experience across Seahawks programming, Kraken partnerships, Mariners broadcasts, NBC Sports, Olympics coverage, K5+, Premion, NBC Peacock, and other multiplatform advertising solutions.
Responsibilities
• Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective advertisers and business opportunities
• Conduct outbound prospecting through calls, email, networking, and in-person meetings
• Participate in client discovery meetings and needs analysis
• Assist in creating integrated marketing recommendations across television, streaming, digital, and sports platforms
• Develop strong presentation and storytelling skills
• Learn to position and sell sports sponsorships, streaming, OTT/CTV, and branded content solutions
• Shadow and co-sell with Account Executives and sales leadership during the onboarding phase
• Assist with proposal development and campaign execution
• Accurately track activity, meetings, proposals, pipeline development, and opportunity progression within CRM systems
• Participate in weekly pipeline, activity, and forecasting review meetings
• Complete structured training across TV, streaming, digital advertising, CRM systems, inventory management, and sales strategy
Revenue Ownership & Business Management
As participants progress through the development program, they will be expected to take increasing ownership of the sales process, client relationships, and revenue performance.
Responsibilities will evolve to include:
• Independently managing assigned accounts and revenue opportunities
• Developing and maintaining long-term client relationships
• Closing new business and renewal business across television, streaming, sports, and digital platforms
• Demonstrating strong follow-through, communication, and account stewardship
• Managing business with professionalism, urgency, and accountability
• Maintaining accurate forecasting, pipeline management, and CRM documentation
• Consistently achieving defined activity, pipeline, and revenue expectations
• Demonstrating readiness to manage a full book of business as an Account Executive
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
• 1–3 years of sales, marketing, sports, hospitality, customer service, or client-facing experience preferred
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Competitive mindset with a desire to grow professionally
• Interest in sports, media, streaming, advertising, and marketing
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
